"I can run any event I want. It can be 100m, 200m, the long jump, heptathlon, you name it."

The double Olympic and three-time world champion added: "Even if I have to withdraw from the 800m, it doesn't matter no more, I think I have won everything I ever wanted.”

Tell me again why I should have sympathy for this person?

Trans women transitioning hormonally also take the pill. So we have a good idea of the effect.

Also, the pill was hardly actually “designed for women”, it was made with intent to be used by women, but a lot was lacking in research and design, but I know what you mean.

Binglebong - it's my understanding that Caster is treated as male in every other aspect of his life except for athletics. He wore a boys school uniform. He has officially known he is male for 10 years but unofficially I suspect he knew much earlier.

He has been exploited by the SA authorities undoubtedly but as an adult, he should take some responsibility.

My sympathies lie with all the women who have trained so hard and have been cheated out of medals

Semenya has known she has had an unfair advantage since puberty at the very least. She's a cheater.

I’m still working through the full ruling and figuring out how to summarise it succinctly but this stood out

People who feel sorry for CS, have you actually seen her being interviewed, there are videos on YouTube ? As it's glaringly obvious from her physical body shape and demeanour that she is XY. She's known this for 10 years m, she's had plenty of time to think about it-she clearly has a massive unfair advantage.

I wrote on another thread just now that I've read the full ruling statement by CAS and I think it's fair. It does make it clear that they and the IAAF regard her as biologically male, and to be sensitive they refer to "sports sex" and how hers is male, even though her gender identity and legal identity is female. They offered - and continue to offer - her choices for how to fit into the female categories, but CS has up to now rejected them all.

Please direct your sympathy to athletes like Lynsey Sharp who is unlikely to win any world-level medals competing against DSD athletes.

After decades of first shamateurism then drug-abuse, now this.
