Green Party Conference evicts gender critical woman

Deborah Fink was thrown out of the England and Wales Green Party Conference today for link to it.
Yesterday a motion on misogyny being a hate crime was amended after transactivists put a leaflet and campaigned saying the motion wasn't inclusive. The Standing Orders Committee ininitally disallowed the amendment saying it negated the motion (which is correct) but it then got put to conference and allowed sadly.
Deborah got ejected today after a committee meeting. She had 4 proxy votes and her own vote and she suspects that was the reason.
I don't know what happened about the actual vote on the motion and amended motion today. I've just garnered this info from twitter but it all sounds depressingly familiar from green parties. Women are a feminine feeling not a sex. Photos of the anti sex based protection leaflets attached. Thjey even managed to drag women with DSD in to it.

The Green party has been subsumed by radical 'left-woke' politics. The Green party used to be about a more systemic way of thinking about humanity; the planet and society when it was still the Ecology party.

The idea of transgenderism; surgery; medical treatments and the subsequent diminishment and hatred of women - is totally antithetical to the original Ecology movement.

OvaHere · 09/06/2019 19:03

The Greens appear to be a lost cause.

Hopefully Deborah got a chance to bring up the Challenors before she was evicted.

If you don't recognise sex then any law about misogyny isn't worth the paper it's written on.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/06/2019 19:06

Bleating because ‘misogyny’ didn’t include TWAW? But I thought TW were W, no?

Bunch of TWA*s

Outanabout · 09/06/2019 19:08

What a bunch of unscientific woman-haters.

And are we allowed use the word 'handmaids' on here or is if forbidden?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/06/2019 19:26

Of course you can’t thats rude. ‘Arseholes’ is the correct terminology (for we all have one)

GreenPartyGC · 09/06/2019 19:44

There's quite a lot of GC activity going on but unfortunately some of the TRAs identified that it wasn't a good look for men to be opposing the motion on sex-based rights so they co-opted Sian Berry to speak for them. No idea if she knows yet she's been played. Lots of tantrums from the TRAs 🙄.

2Rebecca · 09/06/2019 20:16

Did the motion get voted on unlamented as well as amended? If you have proxy votes last minute amendments are very undemocratic

It's the Green Party, surely you mean gender critical non-men!

2Rebecca · 09/06/2019 20:17

Sounds about right.

The Green Party:
Gender Critical Women 👎
Men who use their home address that doubles up as both Coventry Green Party HQ and a child torture dungeon 👍

Aspley · 09/06/2019 20:27

Maybe the Green party needs to introduce an entrance exam. See if they can answer some basic questions about something like climate change.
The charming AC was almost in the ballot for deputy leader but I never saw anything that could possibly suggest they had any interest in the environment so how did that happen.
(I am aware they are not a single issue party, but surely some things should be more important to the Greens than other?)

theOtherPamAyres · 09/06/2019 20:27

so they co-opted Sian Berry to speak for them

Sian Berry is a loyal and outspoken transactivist - and has been for a long time.

At the last Green Conference in Bristol, where Berry was at the centre of the police being called to disperse local women handing out Fairplay for Women leaflets, members of the Conference Committee resigned in protest at her conduct.

The Green Party looks like a toxic cult, rather than an environmental and social justice party.

I hope this incident attracts publicity. There needs to be more sunlight shone on the women leaders, Sian Berry and Deputy leader Amelia Womack, and there unswerving determination to merge the sexes into one big Gender Soup.

littlbrowndog · 09/06/2019 20:29

I thought Green Party was about climate change and trees.

Wha5 are they about now ?

Did the lady kill a tree or something very bad or suggest tree killing is ok to be ejected
Or is she a climate change denier ?

What could be so bad
Tory party still have the drug takers in their party
Labour still have anti semites and sexist ppl in there’s

What did the very bad lady do

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 09/06/2019 20:29

Sooo this^^

Socrates11 · 09/06/2019 20:32

Be interested to hear what the outcome is.

There are still Green members who are critical of gender ideology but nothing is coming from the leaders. Rupert Read, Jenny Jones were forced to back down with their critical questions (not good for a philosopher), with Bea Campbell still seeming like the eloquent lone voice.

Really struggling with Caroline Lucas not getting to grips with the science aspect of all this. If scientific evidence isgood enough for climate change it's good enough for supporting women's rights. Allowing bullies to dictate terms is NEVER a good idea. Come on Greens get your bloody shit together.

FleetwoodStorms · 09/06/2019 20:34

It was recommended that Remain supporters in my area vote Green in the EU elections but I just couldn't bring myself to because of this shit.

littlbrowndog · 09/06/2019 20:35

Why don’t they get on with the green stuff

So many ppl would support that.

But no.

FloralBunting · 09/06/2019 20:39

I really don't understand the Green Party. Having enough courage to stand up to the bully boy forces of polluting corporate interests and all that admirable stuff, but having no ability to even really notice when their party is infiltrated and co-opted by an ideology which crushes through the boundaries of women and pisses all over safeguarding kids too.

JackyHolyoake · 09/06/2019 20:43

How any female can remain a member of the Green Party is beyond my understanding.

2Rebecca · 09/06/2019 20:54

But then if the GC women resign it won't improve and the general public still have no idea that the party has been hijacked by TRAs, same with the Scottish Green Party.

Interesting choice of wording to say it "excludes TW from experiencing misogyny" rather than "excludes TW who also experience misogyny". All about the validation. "Ooooh women experience misogyny? I want to do that as well!" And wtf does it mean when that women face misogyny based on their race, sexuality etc. If you, a woman, experience a hate crime based on your race, then that's a "racist" hate crime not misogyny?! If you, a woman, experience a hate crime based on your race but your male counterpart does not, then the race part is racism and the "because you're a woman" part is the misogyny. The whole point of "intersectionality" is that it's different things which intersect, not one big thing! So much utter stupidity, I cannot comprehend it.

GCAcademic · 09/06/2019 20:55

What we’re seeing is the disenfranchisement of women. 100 years ago they gave (some of) us the vote, but men have managed to toxify every single political party in the last couple of years with misogynistic policies so that we now cannot vote for anyone who represents our interests or even protects our rights.

I reserve my most deeply-felt scorn for the traitorous I’m-Alright-Jills like Sian Berry and Dawn Butler who have thrown vulnerable women under the bus to further their corrupt careers.

ByGrabtharsHammarWhatASaving · 09/06/2019 21:00

Would anyone oppose racism as a hate crime because "it reduces POC to their skin colour"? It's so dumb I can't even begin to get my head around it.

ByGrabtharsHammarWhatASaving · 09/06/2019 21:03

Me too. And everyone who says "well I don't mind sharing a toilet" or "I don't even play sport myself" or "I don't care if I see a male bodied HCP". The lack of empathy or understanding that maybe other women care and maybe you shouldn't give away their rights just because you're alright, is so mind boggling to me. Where's the female socialisation to be nice when you need it? Oh yeh, we're only trained to be nice to men.

DrG · 09/06/2019 21:09

Oh Dear, the poor greens.

Now that even center right political parties see the value in environmental causes they are having a hard time reformulating a USP, so they now engage is sordid extreme left sexual politics, nurturing Challenor types, tut tut, not sure why our GC colleague thought she’d get anywhere with this lot trying to suggest men shouldn’t beast on women..
