AIBU to fancy Fionne Orlander?

(I know this isn’t AIBU, but most people there won’t know who Fionne is.)

I’m a married mum of three but if he was straight, I absolutely would TBH.

AIBU to have a massive crush?

Yanbu. You haven't said your age but did you like David Bowie/Adam Ant/ Boy George in the 80s? I was a child but loved them and I'm attracted to that kind of look now. Fionne's bone structure and eyeliner remind me of them.

Yes to David Bowie. And also I used to have a massive crush on Brian Molko from
placebo. Very femininely beautiful but still somehow very sexy and masculine at the same time. And the eyeliner is on point.

I think it's that androgynous look with and I've never considered make up in itself to be feminine more that most men can't be bothered with it.

I also like captain hook from once upon a time. He looks very masculine but lots of eyeliner and his pirate costume does it for me.

Yes as far as I’m concerned makeup and feminine clothes are not just for women.

Also - and this might be weird because he was playing a psychopath - but Heath Ledger as the Joker in Batman gave me... feelings.

YANBU, Fionne is not only beautiful outside, but from what I can gather seems beautiful on the inside too. And I am old enough to be his granny! And also to add, he dresses beautifully too.

I think Fionne's wonderful too. I hugely admire the way he conducts himself on Twitter - carving out his own path with both grace and integrity (despite some really horrible abuse being thrown his way).

He makes me think of the Michelle Obama 'when they go low, you go higher' (I've mangled the quote a bit I think but you probably know what I mean).

He's got a fabulous aesthetic sense and I love how he styles himself

Lol yea I completely get the attraction to F.O. he is beautiful and says very interesting things. A game changer, in fact.

BUT he's sort of portraying a real-life-fictional-character, like his whole life is based on a fantasy dressing up game or something? Dykwim? So I couldn't connect with someone like that, someone very invested in self image. That's a bit off-putting.

Well he openly says in his twitter bio that he’s ‘trying to battle dysphoria’. I imagine that what you’re describing may be a facet of that.

Or it could also be that his twitter feed is just curated so that it gives that impression?

If you looked at any of my social media feeds you certainly wouldn’t get the whole picture of me.

Fionne is totally channelling Thranduil, down to the eyebrows. Thranduil (and Lee Pace, who plays him) is the fucking bomb.

So I think Fionne is trying to be a male elf more than a woman. Which I like him for.
