AIBU to fancy Fionne Orlander?

Whackitupto200 · 07/06/2019 00:12

(I know this isn’t AIBU, but most people there won’t know who Fionne is.)

I’m a married mum of three but if he was straight, I absolutely would TBH.

AIBU to have a massive crush?

I feel a bit sorry for Fionne's boyfriend - he's got a lot of competition apparently! Did you fangirls know her name is pronounced FEE-un and not Fee-ON?

waterlego · 07/06/2019 18:28

Do you know Stunt, I was just coming back on to say sorry to Fionne’s boyfriend. 😂

I didn’t know that about the pronunciation of Fionne though.

placemats · 07/06/2019 19:06

Why is Fionne too young for women to fancy?

Married mum of three could be a woman who is mid to late twenties.

placemats · 07/06/2019 19:08

Or, big breath hold, even older.

I personally don't fancy Fionne. But I do understand the attraction.

FloralBunting · 07/06/2019 19:10

Won't somebody think about how it makes is all look like mean and nasty feminists and damages our argument to.. ... start fangirl threads about how attractive and delightful a particular trans person is...?

Miranda Yardley is someone I like, and in a Ugandan discussion sort of way. Confused. It'll never happen though. Don't worry Miranda, I won't be stalking you!

Summerhillsquare · 07/06/2019 19:13

YANBU, Fionne is striking and comes over as very warm and humane. And that's kinda sexy.

Summerhillsquare · 07/06/2019 19:14

Although, what does it say about modern male sexuality that warm and humane is not the standard?!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/06/2019 19:17

Deffo heath ledger as the joker, and captain hook in once upon a time

And i too have a thing about men in eyeliner

To be honest it’s probably the rest of the ensemble as well, whether it be rock leather or pirate garb

littlbrowndog · 07/06/2019 19:18

He has seen us on twitter. His mum told him 😎😎😎

Waves to fionne excitedly 😍😍😍😍

littlbrowndog · 07/06/2019 19:18

He’s not scary. He’s gentle and kind

Aw gawd will stop now

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/06/2019 19:20

Sorry to answer the OP

Fionne is beautiful but too ethereal for me

Justhadathought · 07/06/2019 19:21

He’s not scary. He’s gentle and kind

I've not come across this person before. I'm just going by his looks and how he presents.

I do have a penchant like young rock gods with long hair, though. Eddie Vedder when he was in his twenties; likewise Anthony Kiedis; but he's just become an old perv now. Shame!

Pancakestastelikecrepe · 07/06/2019 19:30

I think many women admire Fionne's look as it is neither a cruel parody of woman or a hyperbolic ‘tribute’ to women. Fionne's look transcends patriarchal stereotypes and is simply, beautiful. Everyone should be free to express their version of sartorial beauty regardless of the constraints associated with upholding societal expectations based on bloody gender roles and claiming sex status because of costume
Obviously 🙄

Whackitupto200 · 07/06/2019 19:39

Omg hi Fionne!

You come across as very clever and funny on twitter too, which is +++ additional sexiness points.

FloralBunting · 07/06/2019 19:39

Yes! I think one of the reasons I like Fionne, apart from his very friendly interactions with me when I was on Twitter, is his genuine rejection of the Gender Boxes. I don't wish dysphoria on anyone, but I so admire that he presents himself to the world as he feels, without bullying or aggression, on the contrary, he is genuine, funny and pleasant.

And yes, the Elvish look thing is so striking.

Gi nathlam hi, Fionne.

Whackitupto200 · 07/06/2019 19:40

And sorry to Fionne’s boyfriend (and mum).

OP posts:
TobyandLottiesmum · 07/06/2019 19:53

Can totally get why you would tbh.I used to love David Bowie, David Sylvian and was mesmerised by Marilyn back in the day. Fionne is intelligent, funny and caring and an asset to all in this debate.

Sevigny · 07/06/2019 20:31

It’s not really a rejection of boxes, is it? For example, Fionne has chosen an extremely feminine name, which several young girls in my family have. I find that difficult.

And yes. YABU.

FloralBunting · 07/06/2019 20:38

I've never had a problem with people changing their name, sorry.

I see a male person who, despite dysphoria initially leading to confusion, obviously, dresses as he pleases and doesn't bully people into specific language, and, as far as I am aware, doesn't encroach on female spaces. Until I have evidence that he refuses to accept women's boundaries, I shall continue to be quite happy for him to present to the world as one of the feminine, ethereal Elves and not be bothered by it.

Sevigny · 07/06/2019 20:45

No-one else needs to have a problem with that, but I do. Especially when they have my name or, as in this case, the name of a young girl I know. It causes me massive cognitive dissonance to use the same name for an adult male, however well dressed they are (and the white dresses are gorgeous). So I could never fancy a man who had given himself a girly name.

kaldefotter · 07/06/2019 20:50

I think Fionne is beautiful and carries off the ethereal, elven look better than anyone. And has gorgeous rats.

RussianSpamBot · 07/06/2019 21:15

Fionne is great.
