Seems to have been carried out by well known TRA who has threatened violence before: twitter.com/bindelj/status/1136402563379716096

Why mount a one woman defence for a man who is a well known stalker of women and had to be held back by three security guards to prevent a woman being hurt by him?

Because of the negative publicity he has created. Damage limitation.

Datun · 07/06/2019 12:04

I've also had dozens of pms from people saying they feel the same as me.I think this fight needs claiming by the "fledgling" feminists if it's going to be won.

Speechless. Grin

Ginger, please do keep "fighting" your way and work with others who are uncomfortable to post here. It all adds up after all.

However, be careful not to vilify the other women here too much though. We almost all started off in your shoes of "be nice and gentle and keep calmly talking". Look where we are now in society - it wasn't an effective approach.

Justhadathought · 07/06/2019 12:06

this is the first time I've totally interacted on this forum rather than just read

You said you have used multiple usernames over the last ten years. You don't require a username if you don't want to post.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 07/06/2019 12:07

It’s almost like certain posters don’t know their feminist history. The suffragettes were not ‘nice’ either.

Justhadathought · 07/06/2019 12:10

Luckily there's plenty more of us listening and talking now. and the broad thrust of opinions and language on this thread do not represent us

I'd love to know where you are doing that? Because outside of Resisters meetings in our home town and cities, there really isn't anywhere where like-minded women can come together.

I'd never looked at Mumsnet until the end of last year - and was pretty much unaware of the issue at all. There was nothing out there. I don't do twitter - and much of this has been happening out of public view there.

HerFemaleness · 07/06/2019 12:14

I'm just going to leave this here.

Justhadathought · 07/06/2019 12:17

I'm still interested in why Just responded to a post to Ginger and the response is whoops, got confused

Because I had posted in a conciliatory manner ( to ginger) about not liking lots of swearing and name-calling, myself - and i used the word alienate. I assumed, wrongly, you were having a go at me.

Don't let ginger succeed in sowing doubt and generating paranoia about every poster who we don't necessarily 'click' with.

ZebrasAreBras · 07/06/2019 12:18

gingerginger, you must think we were born yesterday.

Justhadathought · 07/06/2019 12:19

I'm just going to leave this here

Thanks! Interesting, and that is certainly what has happened here.

JackyHolyoake · 07/06/2019 12:19

More male violence against women ... the history is relentless ... this is a report referring to D-Day 1944

Datun · 07/06/2019 12:19

And if any more proof were needed, the thread about the two lesbians attacked on a bus by men not trans has, in the first few posts, the words

Bastards
Morons
Disgusting men
Disgusting bastards
Odious men
Incels
Thugs

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3606152-Lesbian-couple-assaulted-on-a-London-bus-because-when-they-refused-to-kiss-in-front-of-a-gang-of-men

FloralBunting · 07/06/2019 12:22

Yeah, you 'claim the fight' with all the fledgling feminists in your dozens of PMs complaining about bad language on FWR. Perhaps you can join Sarah Ditum in calling for the really nasty women, who've been campaigning here for quite some time for women's rights, to be exiled?

That's what feminists do, right? Cast out the bad women.

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 07/06/2019 12:27

So many contradictions eh Ginger?

Hope we were worth spending all that time on ... Wink

That the TRAS have got their 'best guns' out ( on here), as well as some of the others who pop in and out on a regular basis.....suggests that this board is doing its job in providing first class information and discussion on the issue.

I wonder why Julie has decided not to pursue police action at this point? She needs to, in order to silence the crowing.

ZebrasAreBras · 07/06/2019 12:37

Datun, I don't expect ginger has been over to that thread to tell the women to be nice and not use nasty words?

Notice ginger's first post here - a call to MNHQ to "moderate this thread" - and sympathy for Julie's male attacker. The call to a higher authority to shut the women down - we all know who resorts to that, don't we.

Popchyk · 07/06/2019 12:38

Julie is very busy.

Currently in Switzerland speaking about the harms of prostitution.

She doesn't have time for this shit, presumably.

Popchyk · 07/06/2019 12:39

And Sally Challen is in court today.

Julie has been involved in that case also.

littlbrowndog · 07/06/2019 12:44

I did ask ginger directly if this was male violence. A man attacking women.

She never answered me.

It wasn’t to make a point. It was just to see how she viewed this.

ZebrasAreBras · 07/06/2019 12:47

But this must be some some sort of FWR record - over 540 posts, one derailer, and no deletions Grin

FloralBunting · 07/06/2019 12:49

Lots of male pronouns, too. Shocking stuff.

LangCleg · 07/06/2019 12:50

I've also had dozens of pms from people saying they feel the same as me.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Playbook. Straight from.

Look, ginger, you've devoted an inordinate amount of time to posting anti-feminist, penis-centring demands of the actual feminists on this thread. Feminists who are supporting a lifelong campaigner against male violence because she was attacked by a violent male.

That's what you've done.

It's offensive to minimise male violence. It's offensive to tone police women objecting to male violence. It's offensive to Julie Bindel, who was subject to male violence.

If you don't like hearing this named and described, bluntly, perhaps a feminist board isn't ever going to be a place you feel comfortable.
