"It was tough conditions out here with the wind and the heat over the last three days but, as she has over the last six months, CeCe proved herself to be tough enough to handle it," said head coach Zach Emerson of the performance. "Today was a microcosm of her entire season; she was not going to let anything slow her down. I've never met anybody as strong as her mentally in my entire life."

Texas A&M-Commerce sophomore Minna Sveard took second place, as she posted a personal season-best time of 59.21 seconds. In third place, Central Washington sophomore Sidney Trinidad made it three finishers to post a time of under a minute, as she crossed the line at 59.49 seconds.

So Minna Sveard, Sidney Trinidad, and other unnamed women lose out again to a male person, and coach implies it's because they're not as "mentally strong" as that male person. Such progress!

Jeez. That’s what I call cheating

EleanorReally · 27/05/2019 12:07

So wrong

nonsenceagain · 27/05/2019 12:17

This is cheating. Can’t say it often enough. Will keep saying it.

OvaHere · 27/05/2019 12:25

Wow. CeCe really manned the fuck up didn't she? Hmm

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 27/05/2019 12:28

The coach must have been rubbing their hands in glee at the prospect of their coachee beating everyone. Less so if they were coaching the men’s wrestling team and a wee female demanded a spot on the team (or they will scream transphobia on national TV and have all their budgets taken away). I wonder why.

Jedeye · 27/05/2019 12:34

Makes me seethe, how the hell have we come to this? It’s hardly ‘fair’ competition or sport is it, which I thought was the point. The women athletes must be despairing.

Daughterofmabel · 27/05/2019 12:36

cheat cheat cheat.

NotTerfNorCis · 27/05/2019 12:40

Males shouldn't be allowed in women's sporting competitions.

There will be a backlash and it will lead the public to tear trans ideology apart.

NotBadConsidering · 27/05/2019 12:47

Using Barra Ker’s experiment 2 to read that race report, very useful:

Absolutepowercorrupts · 27/05/2019 12:47

Look at the expressions of these two girls, they know that they have no chance of winning.

Fucking cheats.

terryleather · 27/05/2019 12:52

Cheaty McCheatface.

MenstruatorExtraordinaire · 27/05/2019 12:54

This is so ridiculous. How can they allow this situation to continue? Madness, utter utter madness.

sergeilavrov · 27/05/2019 12:55

Maybe look at the results in wider context. Here is an article for you:

Aggies aren't complaining about it, and if anyone had the right to - it would be them. The vast, vast majority of transgender people are not attempting to cheat their way into anything, and any cheating/lying is very much the exception to the rule. It seems that people get so caught up in those exceptions that they are generalised to everyone.

We've got to trust people more, there are plenty of circumstances where we have to give our belief and support in the first instance, and deal with fallout on the rare occasions it comes knowing we went in with good intentions.

Cheat cheat cheat

GrinitchSpinach · 27/05/2019 13:01

No amount of context or good intentions justifies cheating women out of opportunities designed for them.

OP posts:
sergeilavrov · 27/05/2019 13:08

It's not cheating, she followed the NCAA rules. If you don't like the rules, maybe it's not the sport for you - you've got company, Donald Trump doesn't like the rules either.

Ms Telfer ranked 3rd, 6th and 7th in races at this meet.

KarenTheCashRegister · 27/05/2019 13:12

Cheat

NotTerfNorCis · 27/05/2019 13:12

No. No sacrificing women's sport 'to be nice'.

nauticant · 27/05/2019 13:14

That doesn't mean what you want it to mean. It means a pretty mediocre male athlete can compete very strongly with the elite female athletes of that class. In other words, cheating.

littlbrowndog · 27/05/2019 13:15

What
women should stop taking part in sports if guys beat them in women’s sport cos that’s where you are going with this Sergei

RussianSpamBot · 27/05/2019 13:16

What does this even mean? I can see that you're attempting to defend these cheats, but beyond that it's just word salad.

littlbrowndog · 27/05/2019 13:17

Or suck it up

No

GrinitchSpinach · 27/05/2019 13:20

I am not on Twitter. Could anyone who is please alert Fair Play for Women, Martina, Sharron, etc? I don't see comments on this yet over there.
