Unless mumsnet, for some reason, vehemently disagree that it was defamatory. In which case they want to draw attention to it, and let the public know.

Datun · 11/04/2019 17:20

I don't know how much that would cost them, but maybe they think it's worth it.

Amalfimamma · 11/04/2019 17:20

The BBC article was based solely on what Steph-0 told them....

That news release was certainly not penned by a professional. Now that is very serious indeed. Crimes against journalism.

FeckMum · 11/04/2019 17:22

God, how thoroughly tedious, the ‘big reveal’ pinned post and article are a snooze.
This is going to backfire on them completely, even if SH is successful in, erm, suing a website for mums, is going to peak trans the nation.

"Lawyer Ms Hayden, 45, who began transitioning in 2007, said she started her 'full time transition' in 2015, and received a gender recognition certificate in May of 2016. The document, along with her driving licence and passport now identify her as a woman."

Their story changes a fair bit. That video on Kiwi Farms is in February 2016

Datun · 11/04/2019 17:25

The document, along with her driving licence and passport now identify her as a woman."

No mention of the only one that counts - a birth certificate.

DancingRaven · 11/04/2019 17:27

The DM placing the RT video interview just after SH explaining how they lost 20kg muscle mass is pure class

Interesting move from MN. I don't imagine SH was anticipating that one.

GirlDownUnder · 11/04/2019 17:32

Maybe the info has been withheld by MN because of the earlier statement:

Mumsnet did not oppose Ms Hayden’s application. However, Justine Roberts, the website’s founder, said: “Clearly, if we thought the details we released might be used maliciously, we would be happy to contest the order if one of our users asked us to do so.”

Do they not think that maybe MNHQ know some lawyers of their own?

Interesting use of names and pronouns back in 2015

There is a video, recorded only 2 months before SH got their GRC which contradicts everything they've ever claimed 're their transitioning

DawnOfTheWitchTerves · 11/04/2019 17:41

DM article updated to say that MN contacted SH at 3.50pm.

DancingRaven · 11/04/2019 17:43

Has SH checked the spam folder

NotTerfNorCis · 11/04/2019 17:44

Wow! Either MN stood up for one of their users in the face of bullying. In which case, good for you MN!! Or a certain individual is telling porkies which MN can easily disprove, further undermining the credibility of the self-identified lawyer. It's all good! Grin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/04/2019 17:44

Why do some transwomen in the public eye say they have lower testosterone than a female

With no evidence of such....no actual numbers are mentioned, ever

chaosisaladder · 11/04/2019 17:45

I really don’t like the way things are going. How can you take things this far over someone’s opinion of you? How is that allowed?

DawnOfTheWitchTerves · 11/04/2019 17:47

Is that the Birkbeck one, on Streamable?

Datun · 11/04/2019 17:55

Oh dear. Is this just common or garden incompetence. Failure to check your inbox?

Mumsnet have been quite upfront about not contesting this. And the poster in question doesn't give a toss. I don't know what Hayden was expecting?
