Is it just me, or have Mermaids been releasing rather a lot of statements recently

It's good that a journalist is looking into this though.

That erm, press release, comes across as an organisation that has no idea of how to communicate with the press or the public.

I'm guessing that there will be an article in Sunday's papers.

I know Caroline Farrow has an article coming out tomorrow and this might be an accompanying article to that.

That statement is by an organisation who is on the back foot - having had a good dose of sunlight shone on it. People, journalists are asking questions now.

They were never going to get away with their aggressive tactics, on silencing any voices of dissent - and their trying to use publicly funded police forces as their own private security forces....

The coverage and reaction to their latest little fora into silencing voices of disagreement (Caroline Farrow) has not played out well with the press or the public.

“Unilaterally positive” = 4 quotes. I will bet my house that with a well publicised request a journalist could quite easily find at least 4 people who can be quoted as “complete and utter bullshit”. Maybe they have...

I don't know why I am surprised that this organisation doesn't understand words.

That statement does come across as an attempt to limit damage but I think (hope) it will raise far more questions as to why this organisation is being allowed free and unfettered access into the Police to peddle propaganda.
