could someone bring me up to speed? Last I saw he was merrily tweeting and being talked about here.

As an aside, I've just come across a story online where footage has emerged in NI of sports fans singing derogatory songs about catholics. At least one politician has commented and it appears to be being taken seriously as hate speech. And here we have a doctor happy to retweet a woman being called a 'catholic cunt' to over 7,000 followers. His apology is meaningless. The fact that he saw fit to do it in the first place, knowing he is being watched and investigated, he must either lack sufficient impulse control to be around vulnerable people or he just doesn't care. Either way it's bloody scary. The GMC need to do something now.

I do hope those who have made formal complaints have forwarded screenshots of his latest tweets to the GMC.

Surely by now the GMC are monitoring his twitter? Will their investigation be limited to only those tweets that people have complained about? If a doctor made multiple clinical mistakes I would expect any investigation to look at all evidence not just the cases where someone sued or complained.

Agree with Datun. It would be perfectly possible for him to advocate for trans rights without making personal and threatening comments.

His family are Catholics and he attended a Catholic school and delighted in fighting with the Nuns there, Caroline is a Catholic commentator married to a Catholic priest.
