It's gradually becoming more hopeful.

There are a lot of male athletes speaking out. it’s obvious that female athletes, especially those currently competing, are being actively silenced probably via threats of discipline, pulled funding, dismissal etc. Most women in sport are still massively vulnerable if they speak up. It’s a horrible bind after a lifetime commitment to your sporting career - either put up/shut up and hope to get placed somewhere in the medals or speak up for fairness and be piled on, threatened and publicly shamed.
