Yes, I believe that on certain forums debate is being closed down. On the following cycling forum, probably the best known in the World, the administrator - King Boonen - tells people what they can and cannot do, and maintains the flat earth theory approach, that there is no science to prove that transwomen have an advantage over women in sport.

Any scientist should be able to debate McKinnon and make him look like an idiot. The following link shows the difference in testosterone levels between men and women at various ages, and there is a huge disparity, particularly at puberty.
Of course, simply taking testosterone and mentioning nothing else is worthless, so the effects that testosterone has on the rest of the body must be stressed.
The reason why McKinnon is a six feet tall fourteen stone hulk (in cycling terms) is because of all the physiological attributes which exist because of being born a man.

Exactly, and this is why a sports scientist/biologist/physiologist needs to be brought into these debates, also an elite female athlete.

When the level of argument is also "Why would a penis benefit male tennis players - it's not like it helps in holding a racket" then there are probably issues with the discourse.

I am not at all a sports fan. I have no sporting ability. But all these women have inspired me over the years. Seeing their excellence and their fierce competitiveness. That picture that's at the top of Sharron's Twitter page - abso-fucking-lutely amazing. That is what a woman is. Well, it's one version of many (I don't look like that!) But that's what an amazing woman in sport looks like. Female bodied and awesome. Not Rachel McKinnon and her penis (not envy)
