We know how twitter works Hmm in regards to women speaking out so perhaps this thread could be a place to gather excellent quotes and pictures for people to spread across other platforms and show that Martina's views are shared not by a trickle of support but a tidal wave.

This is a cheer up thread so of course the bullshit guardian is not mentioned.

It's the public, which til now has been in the dark due to guardianbbc type misreporting and twittertype silencing of women repeatedly, who will back women's rights.

The public know and trust the opinion of the rockstar that is Martina Navratilova, her experience is respected so there must be something to it right? That means the topic is worth a little investigation, a little conversation.

Interesting topics mean readers/viewers and that means money. Which leads us to this weekend and a snowball effect. Twitter can be as misogynistic as it likes, if enough people are talking about a topic they are never going to ban them all, money matters more to twitter, this is the tipping point.

The focus in the UK has been on getting "inclusive" policy changes through doublequick under cover of BREXIT. Now that this story is breaking worldwide with a gay icon championing it, sunlight is flushing out the stupidity for all to see. Politicians are sure to follow on.

Publicity is the way, it's all about votes and money. We just have to keep talking.

That one article by the graun is being posted repeatedly by TRAs as proof they are right. It is old at this point. They have nothing else to post because EVERYONE else is on #TeamNavratilova!

The bbc, guardian and cnn have opted for “Martina critised” reporting, rather than “Martina speaks out for women’s sports” but the comments under all three tweeted articles are largely in support of Martina
