Once again twitter is letting the police know what they think. This time it’s Mermaids training. Why they need it at all, and why it should be taking so long is beyond me. Somebody should ask them.

Schools I can understand (although strongly disagree with). But the police?

Yes and policemen suffering PTSD as a result of staff cuts and under resourcing. But police forces still have time to detain women in cells for stating biological fact on Twitter and undertake training on why pink, long haired, tiny waisted people are the most 'womanly'?

If there were sessions on general mental health issues that affect police officers that would be a good thing.

But I'm guessing that the police don't run those types of things? Or not enough of them?

I wonder if any of the coppers on here could comment on mental health support and provision for officers in the police.

I think FOI requests to police forces are in order here, to find out what costs have been incurred and what officer time has been spent on this nonsense, which could have been used on actual policing
