Sisters Uncut Edinburgh

I was invited to a protest by Sisters Uncut in Edinburgh by someone on my FB.

They seemed like a great organisation doing work on poverty and domestic violence until I saw their sign about girldick.

I'm beginning to see that people on here were right about transwomen seeming to have more of a voice than born women.

Sisters were taken over by misters a long time ago now.

NotANotMan · 30/01/2019 18:17

Well that sign has to be bollocks doesn't it, but sisters uncut are a TRA organisation

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 30/01/2019 18:23

Did you think hundreds of people were lying

newtlover · 30/01/2019 18:27

I'm not sure what that sign intends to say
surely the 'mouthfeel' of an artificial penis is quite different to a real one?
sorry, it's a bit flesh creepy, but they planted the idea in my head, not the other way round

GrinitchSpinach · 30/01/2019 18:33

They're not referring to artificial penis, newt. They are insisting lesbians should learn to suck male penises when the penis owners declare themselves to be women.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 30/01/2019 18:35

Well that’s a bunch of d* for starters. I thought the Misters Uncut originally fought against FGM and suchlike?

Glowerglass · 30/01/2019 18:37

Good grief I've seen it all now.

newtlover · 30/01/2019 18:46

oh sorry should have guessed

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 30/01/2019 19:04

Did you say anything? I’d be pointing and braying in my best Jean Brodie voice ‘EXPLAIN!!!!!’

stumbledin · 30/01/2019 19:06

Sisters Uncut has always been a queer politics group and have attempted to appropriate women's campaigns.

They specialise in "actions" that are little more than media stunts, usually with the intent of getting in the papers.

But worse they specialise in gatecrashing demonstrations or events that women / feminist campaigns have planned and analysed, which as far as the media is concerned means they are a bit worthy rather than click bait. So they not only get the attention but drown out the voices of women. This is particularly true of domestic violences services where like it or not negotiating with a local council may be more positive towards providing a refuge / support service than putting on an am dram.

They seem to be part of the trend of competitive feminism which specialises in pandering to the media but also in denegrating older feminists.

Daddy daddy look at me!

Oxytocindeficient · 30/01/2019 19:08

That is a disgusting sign. How utterly lesbophobic and gross.

2rebecca · 30/01/2019 19:20

I presumed the name sisters uncut was because they were male "sisters" who had kept their tackle.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 30/01/2019 19:33

Waaaah! That’s given me some horrible mental images that I now need to disinfect with gin.

stumbledin · 30/01/2019 19:34

2rebecca

Never thought of that!

But I think unfortunately it is them showing due deference as women to the real politicos ie men, who were active in the anti cuts movement.

Not unlike the Women's March organisng group hand picked by a male "influenced" who created them a bit like a Simon Cowel girl band!!

Gingerkittykat · 30/01/2019 19:55

Did you think hundreds of people were lying

I wouldn't go so far as to say I thought people were lying, but I thought people were making more of a fuss about trans issues than was justified. Now I'm starting to see otherwise.

They look like own brand Nice and Milk biscuits. Grim. No matter how awful they are. I wouldn’t wish 35p a pack biscuits on anyone.

Ok so where was that sign at OP?

I really don't get it.

I am quite puzzled what the f is mouth feel?

2rebecca · 30/01/2019 20:24

How come a man is in charge of the women's march and choosing women?

How come a man is in charge of the women's march and choosing women?

Because it's 2019 and women are being quietly removed from positions of any real power.
Why do you ask?

2rebecca · 30/01/2019 20:38

I was curious about which man was in charge and how he got that post

ChewyLouie · 30/01/2019 20:45

Taken from their Safe Spaces Policy ‘Our meetings should be inclusive and supportive spaces for all women (trans, intersex and cis) and all nonbinary, agender and gender variant people.’

Women know your place.

There is a thread on this site where a transwoman openly declares a baseball bat as a symbol of empowerment for transwomen. A baseball bat.

GrinitchSpinach · 30/01/2019 21:03

Well seazer if you want the scoop on girldick and mouthfeel, here you go:

It looks then that the term “girldick” is ambiguous between two different concepts. On the one hand it refers to the “feminine penis”. Such a penis can be different from the “masculine penis” in the following ways:
Smells better (less musky)
Smaller (it often atrophies)
Change in coloration
Softer in texture (different mouthfeel)
Often doesn’t ejaculate, or, if it does, the ejaculate is clear
More difficult to achieve an erection (which can actually be painful
Little to no spontaneous erections
Less aroused by visual stimuli
And thus, the feminine penis post-HRT is truly a girldick.
