I was invited to a protest by Sisters Uncut in Edinburgh by someone on my FB.

They seemed like a great organisation doing work on poverty and domestic violence until I saw their sign about girldick.

I'm beginning to see that people on here were right about transwomen seeming to have more of a voice than born women.

Chewy yup, that thread. Don't know about you but it's all just left me feeling rather cheesed off Angry

Sisters Uncut Edinburgh are mobilising to protest tomorrow's 4Women Scotland open meeting - they've advised attenders to cover their faces. Not a nice bunch.

JackyHolyoake · 30/01/2019 21:14

Sisters Uncut ... it's a men's sexual rights outfit.

"led by transwomen" enough said. Feminism led by males, how progressive. How can any women let themselves be subservient to males in any outfit calling itself feminist? I wonder how many females are involved? Maybe none now.

ChewyLouie · 30/01/2019 21:33

Tellme, yes same here but it is spurring me on to do more stickering/ leaflet drops 😀
Jacky, can’t get clearer than that can it.
If anyone is going to the open meeting tmrw, solidarity.

Helen Lewis New Statesman:
20 APRIL 2018
'The madness of our gender debate, where feminists defend slapping a 60-year-old woman
It seems swivel-eyed to condemn rhetorical “attacks” and blithely ignore physical ones.'

(extract)
"You would have thought that a feminist getting punched in the face would be reasonably large news – particularly if her attacker had boasted online earlier of wanting to “fuck up” some feminists, comparing them to fascists. But the conviction of the person who attacked 60-year-old Maria MacLachlan at Speakers’ Corner last year didn’t trouble the pages of the Guardian, where I would normally expect to hear about something that veers close to being a hate crime, or the LGBT website Pink News. Why? A clue comes in the fact that MacLachlan was slapped by a 26-year-old transgender woman called Tara Wolf, who explained to the court that MacLachlan was a “TERF” – a term commonly used to stand for “trans exclusionary radical feminist”, ie one who doesn’t believe that trans women are “real” women, but which Wolf defined as a “trans exterminatory radical feminist”.

The implication was that MacLachlan, now 61, wants all transgender people dead – something that seems absolutely barking until you realise this is quite a common accusation in activist spaces. The feminist group Sisters Uncut, which has done great work protesting the closure of domestic violence services, somehow looked at the case and decided that Wolf was the real victim. It used a hashtag – #freetheshewolf – and called for a protest outside Hendon Magistrates’ Court, asking for support for a “trans woman targeted… and harassed by TERFs, transmisogynists and cops”, adding: “Attacks on trans lives will not be tolerated.” (continues)

The Wolf affair also demonstrates another alarming phenomenon: the left getting high on its own supply of self-righteousness. “Some feminists have a different conception of gender to me” gets smudged into “some feminists talk about me in ways that I find offensive” and on to “some feminists are basically Hitler, trying to eradicate people like me”.

Once you reach the last statement, then of course you can slap a woman and still think of yourself as a good person. She wants to kill you; a mere punch is self-defence. (I’m not exaggerating about the language. The Edinburgh branch of Action for Trans Health tweeted the day after the attack: “Punching TERFs is the same as punching Nazis. Fascism must be smashed with the greatest violence to ensure our collective liberation from it.”) (continues)

Crone yes and to top it off they place biological women last in the list of everybody they include as women.
Woke hope it goes well and you are going with a group.

WokeNotBloke · 30/01/2019 22:11

Ha, I’m going on my own. Have tried to encourage friends to come, but it’s easier to get people to do the Fringe with you 😂😂. And I find the idea that I have to travel in pairs and hitch up with someone I don’t know to go to a meeting in my own city at 7pm just a bit too rediculous.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 30/01/2019 22:27

Not sisters. Cisters?

seazer · 30/01/2019 22:55

I am still confused but thank you for trying to explain Hmm

You can't make this stuff up

FingonTheValiant · 31/01/2019 07:53

Seazer mouthfeel is a word they have invented to describe how their penis feels in your mouth. As in "Lesbians, it is hateful and discriminatory to refuse to suck a TW's cock, and anyway because we're TW our cocks don't have the same mouthfeel as normal man cocks. You won't even feel like it's a cock in your mouth, it's completely different. So stop your whinging and get on your knees".

Lots of cocks in there, sorry, and spoiler they're all male.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 31/01/2019 07:57

Men do have a ‘thing’ about sexual with lesbians don’t then? Creepy and entitled.

seazer · 31/01/2019 10:53

Oh ok well how ridiculous then and potentially dangerous.

Girl and dick is an oxymoron

A penis is a male sex organ.

Is it considered transphobic in some circles to state what sex organs are and who they belong to?

In those same circles are women expected to submit to a Male sex organ on the basis on it somehow belonging to a Male who considers himself to be feminine?

What a violent proposition that would be?

Again I am not really up to play on this but to me this seems to promote sexual violence against women.

2rebecca · 31/01/2019 11:12

I just find it odd. If I want a penis I'd like a fully functioning one please. Deliberately making it nonfunction and still wanting sex with women is just bizarre. Women are in to penises or they aren't. The ones who are nearly always prefer working ones attached to males comfortable with their masculinity

GrinitchSpinach · 31/01/2019 12:00

Again I am not really up to play on this but to me this seems to promote sexual violence against women.

You are exactly up to play on this, seazer. Many women find the language used by male trans people to insist that they are entitled to sex with women, particularly lesbians, to have all kinds of rapey overtones.

Do you know about the "cotton ceiling"? The idea that male trans people must break through the barriers of lesbian "prejudice" in order to have sex with them? To most of us the phrase "cotton ceiling" implies rape really explicitly, though TAs have tried to come with some nonsense about how it was never ever meant to imply breaking through the cotton gusset of lesbians' underwear and how could we possibly take it that way?

terfisaslur.com/cotton-ceiling/

FingonTheValiant · 31/01/2019 12:09

Is it considered transphobic in some circles to state what sex organs are and who they belong to? Yes.

In those same circles are women expected to submit to a Male sex organ on the basis on it somehow belonging to a Male who considers himself to be feminine? Yes. But with the important note that these men don't consider themselves to be feminine, they consider themselves to be female. And as such it's no longer a male sex organ, but a female one.

What a violent proposition that would be? It is.

Again I am not really up to play on this but to me this seems to promote sexual violence against women. You are entirely up to play on this.

It's why many of us would characterise the trans movement as a male sexual rights movement. They (or rather, some of them) are trying to intimidate, bully and coerce women, including lesbians, into having sex with them.

seazer · 31/01/2019 12:24

What? So we have males with Male sex organs who expect women with women sex organs to have sex with them while these men with Male sex organs expect the world to believe they are female?

I mean it is as ridiculous as the way women are asking to go jogging in pairs and wear ear phones to avoid getting attacked?

What can lesbians do about this?cotton ceiling what a disgusting and violent concept??

seazer · 31/01/2019 12:47

I mean I just don't get this country. Sorry to just sound so jumbled but:

So some women are expect to accommodate men in their spaces and suspend their disbelief.

I repeat girl dick is an oxymoron. To be it is just a way to try facilitate sexual assault.

I suppose this is what you get when you extend this stuff to girl guides.

Isn’t it girl guides where now young females are to be expected to go away with young males who have a penis and parents of those young females (girls) would not be informed that their child could be sharing a sleeping space and toilet with someone who could rape and get their daughter pregnant. Is that girl dick then?

Meanwhile joggers (or so I read in the paper today) are being told to run together and not listen to music while running. So females, don't you enjoy your run with pumping music and if you do get assaulted while you have headphones on then it is your fault as you were warned ... oh but don’t worry about boys, Male genitalia in your girl guides trip that is all fine and won’t ever happen.

Meanwhile, in the south east I believe it took over a year to catch a Male who was sexually assaulting school girls walking to schools in the morning across the south east. After lots and lots of assaults (I think it exceeded 26) but I believe he was taken to court for 14, (and then there will be the victims who won’t have come forward and it took a year to catch him).

Meanwhile, one school local to me tweeted that girls should be sensible when this guy was on the loose. Well, there you go he was caught and jailed for six years and what do you reckon do you think he will be out within 2 to 3 years?

So is the thinking that we just have to endure more sexual violence with phrases such as girl dick.

So is girl dick just a term for sexual violence like the cotton ceiling or some warped form of major victim blaming?

Still jumbled but hopefully getting there.

FingonTheValiant · 31/01/2019 12:53

Spread the word. Get people to listen and realise for themselves how disgusting and entitled it is. And the cognitive dissonance inherent in what is being said. Call out bullshit like "mouthfeel".
Make sure teenagers and young people, particularly young lesbians, realise this isn't normal, it's coercive and abusive. And that they can say no. Even if they're called names and accused of transphobia.
And keep biological reality clear in everyone's minds.

seazer · 31/01/2019 13:02

"And keep biological reality clear in their minds"

How true and I will do!
