Can't see the connection between the news story and this fascinating individual's personal feelings, but there you go.
The larger size of the male larynx overall is more of an issue than the vocal folds as such. Though this is more the case for transmen who take male hormones, who end up having hormonally enlarged vocal folds within a small female larynx, and can sound quite croaky. Voice therapy is available on the NHS to transitioning individuals, let's not forget, though it's hard work. Surgery to the larynx is less available because it's fucking dangerous, particularly the innocuous sounding 'tracheal shave' which can end up with a person being unable to speak or swallow ever again. Though there's a suturing operation that can shorten male vocal folds, which is less dangerous as if it fails the larynx just returns to its previous configuration.
I remember one of the articles about detransition where the author reported that she and many others noted that their sex dysphoria increased hugely every time they had treatment for some aspect of it. Basically, the more attention you pay to negative feelings about your body, even in the context of doing something about it, the worse you feel.
Really this person should be informing us of the massive, overwhelming size of their larynx and how much of a girly this makes them, if they want to be consistent.
