Extraordinary thread from Twitter, starting here with these two gems.

Um. Yeah.

Totally based in science, transgenderism.

The fact that an advocate is using wizards in his argument to prove TWAW should totally reassure everyone rational that it's a completely reasonable belief...

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 10/01/2019 19:09

fekko

Robin literally started it!!

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 10/01/2019 19:09

Ummmmm. This thread is a bit silly

that happens sometimes

i'm learning a lot about mermaids though

Smotheroffive · 10/01/2019 19:11

Eureka!!! Bingo!!! Yes!

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 10/01/2019 19:14

What about the mermen? Won’t sineone think of the poor mermen. Especially those with our arm creases. It’s very sad.

InSightMars · 10/01/2019 19:26

Ummmmm. This thread is a bit silly 🧜‍♀️

Yeah, I mean, come on, how can GC feminists expect to be taken seriously if we make it about wizards, mermaids and elbow.

Purplewithgreenspots · 10/01/2019 19:29

In my innocence, I never thought about how new mermaids came into being Blush

When I was at primary school, we didn’t talk about arm creases, but apparently tummy creases meant you were becoming a lady (the things you can learn from your friends Hmm)

userschmoozer · 10/01/2019 19:30

Hang on, why does Robin get a free pass from trans activists for saying only trans women that pass are women?

ChewyLouie · 10/01/2019 19:31

Ellebows define those most oppressed in society, everyone else has elbows. Had to be said.

welshgendercrit · 10/01/2019 19:33

Just spluttered tea all over my keyboard. Grin Grin Grin

boatyardblues · 10/01/2019 19:34

If a wizard gave me a fish’s tail I’d be tempted to make some kind of fish stew for dinner.

When life gives you fishtails, make fishonade.

OlennasWimple · 10/01/2019 19:42

Just to note that dear Robin displayed his interesting views on women, wizards and arm creases over a year ago

spreadingchestnuttree · 10/01/2019 19:44

In all seriousness though, the mermaid analogy is perfect. If a surgeon amputated my legs and replaced them with a fishtail, I'd look like a mermaid. But I wouldn't actually be a mermaid.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 10/01/2019 19:45

Robin as in Banman’s ‘young companion’?

This is getting more interesting by the minute 🍿 🍷 🍻 🥨🍾🍹🍹🍹☕️

Smotheroffive · 10/01/2019 20:14

Exactly spreading Eureka, bingo!!!

HopeGarden · 10/01/2019 20:26

The only creases I can see in the baby cradling part of my arms are where my elbows and wrists bend.
Are there any other creases I’m supposed to have?

Elbows and wrists can clearly perform many other functions which are great for helping people survive long enough to reproduce and raise offspring, if we’re talking about evolution.

And DH has always managed to cradle our babies beautifully with his manly arms.

Pachyderm1 · 10/01/2019 20:29

It’s so unfair that trans women are required to ‘pass’ to be considered women. Having your gender recognised and accepted shouldn’t be dependent on how well you adhere to a list of stupid stereotypes about what women do or should look like. No wonder so many transwomen feel pressured into dressing / presenting in stereotypically ultra feminine ways.

ChewyLouie · 10/01/2019 20:33

I heard there were over 200 cases of forced transvestism involving Mr Sweeney this year.

ICJump · 10/01/2019 20:38

I don’t have a fish tale or arm creases what the fuck am I?

Anothermothersusername · 10/01/2019 20:40

So weird. And cradling a baby’s head? WTF is that all about?

Smotheroffive · 10/01/2019 20:52

It's so sad that women have to pass to be considered women.

Never a truer statement. I wish true transsexual women had it easier, because being a woman brings sexist and misogynistic challenges, let alone gender transitioning.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 10/01/2019 21:14

I don't have any arm creases, which explains why I don't have children.

OlennasWimple · 10/01/2019 21:26

Women's forearms do, however, tend to hang at a different angle to men's (mainly because we have more sticky out hips and a different pelvis and thus walk differently). Google "carrying angle" for more info

Though when I was googling to remind me of the term for this, I came across this 10 year old article in the Independent setting out the "[[https://www.independent.co.uk/news/10-differences-between-men-and-women-1146631.html 10 differences between men and women]]" that could never be published now, and is a mixture of biology and made up stuff. Though I'm thinking about proposing number 5 in their list as the new test for getting a GRC Wink

frazzled1 · 10/01/2019 21:41

I see them as real women except for relationship purposes

Tut tut Robin. Fallen down on acceptance without exception haven't we?......

13thWarriorWitch · 10/01/2019 21:42

So... this must be a woman then?

Check out those womanly arm creases.
