Well, there are differences in typical/average size, in typical/average activity patterns and in the chromosomes within every cell. Does she mean different abilities?

(Looking at papers on brain research, whether physical or psychological, makes me Want to go and read something easier, like quantum mechanics.)

I thought there were differences, since DNA exists in all cells, including the brain cells. So if you have XY chromosomes you are male and therefore that is what your brain is, irrespective of how you feel about it.
I can't in all honesty say how differences between male and female chromosomes manifest in terms of how the brain works - I can't say I've noticed much of a difference between men and women that can't be traced to how we are socialised/ individual character differences.

IANA scientist, but my understanding is that whilst men's brains may be bigger (as an example, I don't actually know), you couldn't take a brain and say it belonged to a female or a male.

Similar to how men tend to be taller than women, but if I gave you the height of a random person you wouldn't be able to say for certain whether the person was female or male based on that height.

Either way, this shows how important it is for language to be precise and have actual meaning.

If you were given casts of male and female feet you could probably categorise them by sex with a reasonably high degree of accuracy. This doesn't imply that there are sex-related differences in the way those feet work or in their general anatomy.

Brains differ markedly by sex at a chromosomal and hormonal level. This seems to translate into surprisingly few reliably observable differences (given current technology) at an anatomical or functional level.
