Looking snug in the gulag

Don't know about anyone else, but I'm starting to look forward to my re-education in the gulag. Not only will it be full of fabulous Mumsnetters, but Martina Navratilova will be there, along with Jenni Murray, Janice Turner, Julie Bindel, Kathleen Stock, Graham Linehan and now Robert Webb. In other words, some of the coolest people I can think of.

Anyone else want to join me?

I’ve got Pringles and a home made cinnamon wreath. No booze though, but I can probably knock up some moonshine for New Years Day.

Gulag would have amazing company and fun. And warmth and caring.

Ah, my absolute favourite!! I’m very, very pregnant and quite jealous. I’ve had the odd small glass of wine but no spirits. I’d kill for a delicious old fashioned.

I'll do a Christmas makeover on DH's ancient dartboard so we can team up for a bit of fun and light exercise to pass the time - photos of all our faves in every segment. With Stonewall as the bullseye I think.

Aldi have just started selling the most wonderful gingerbread (not to be confused with genderbread). I'll be along with a few of those.

Exactly- they'd all self-ID out of doing the cooking, cleaning, emptying the slop bucket or anything else unpleasant that, you know, was for the common good.

I’m in. Since all the scientists will be here, along with some comedy greats, sporting heroines, and musical wonders I’m sure we will have a jolly old time.

I often console myself with that thought -
that they are their own worst punishment. Imagine if they were your people your side your tribe and you had to hang out with them all the time.

The women I've met in real life through the feminist activism stirred up by all this have been amazing real funny intelligent women who I would be proud to call friends.

That's the second reference to the B ark I've seen in as many days - it's often been in my mind recently. I wonder if Douglas Adams would have been in the gulag with us. I've gone a bit overboard in the fruit department this Christmas so can bring along something to stave off the scurvy.
