I will start with some cyclist who just got the stabilisers off called Dr Rachel Mckinnon telling Martina Navratilova that "You don't hit a tennis ball with your tennis ball or vagina. If you do, you're doing it wrong." No link I'm afraid because the tweet seems to have been pulled after much bullying of Martina.

That bloke off the radio who got told off by the presenter for mansplaining 'cis'

Ill go google it

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/12/2018 15:35

Steve allen

Lottapianos · 21/12/2018 15:36

Rufus, that was some 'comedian' called Steve Allen. The presenter who quite rightly threatened to throw him out of the studio if he didn't knock it off is Julia Hartley-Brewer

MrsFogi · 21/12/2018 15:36

Bollocks - literally - balls/penises.....so mixed up nowadays....."You don't hit a tennis ball with your penis or vagina. If you do, you're doing it wrong."
No doubt that was literal violence to someone, somewhere.....

Sorry Rufus, x post!

teawamutu · 21/12/2018 15:37

How've we got to 5 posts without someone mentioning the good Dr Haddock?

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/12/2018 15:38

lotta

I knew someone would tell me on here...but i thought i oughtn't be lazy Grin

VickyEadie · 21/12/2018 15:38

McKinnon gets my vote - additional evidence when they said to Navratilova "Do you know who I am?"

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 21/12/2018 15:39

tea

I think i was going with the whole 'man' in mansplaining bit Grin

teawamutu · 21/12/2018 15:59

And he doesn't exactly explain so much as harangue, I suppose (will I get a police visit for saying that?)

ProfessoressWoland · 21/12/2018 16:36

Guardian writer David Shariatmadari might be due some recognition for his embarrassing attempt to 'debunk' one of Janice Turner's excellent articles.
Here's Dr. Jane Clare Jones explaining where David went wrong: twitter.com/janeclarejones/status/1061398914916597760

Maybe something for Owen Jones too? It's only fair.

Can Patrick Harvey be an honourable mention for this gem to one of his constituents who wrote to him concerned about the erosion of women's rights?

ChewyLouie · 21/12/2018 17:11

Honourable mention for Joanne “how to do feminism” Conaghan.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 21/12/2018 17:19

oh, oh! Eamonn Holmes - 'it's OK for a male police officer to put his fingers inside a woman to perform an intimate search if said police officer IDs as a woman'

I paraphrase slightly but that was the gist of his argument

Vegilante · 22/12/2018 00:16

The Dutch transage guy surely deserves some kind of special award for his appropriate & hilarious mansplaining on Victoria Derbyshire's TV show to a totally-unprepared, taken-aback Jane Fae, who is accustomed to being the one doing the mansplaining - & had no idea how to respond to the other guy's arguments. Transage bloke kept saying (paraphrasing here), "You feel you are a woman. I respect that, it's your feeling, that's your feeling. But this is my feeling, you need to respect my feeling too... "

Unfortunately, the video seems to have disappeared. Anyone got a link?

KindOfAGeek · 22/12/2018 00:21

I'd like to nominate every single man on twitter who pops onto a thread solely to tell a women that feminism isn't feminism unless it includes males transwomen

GCAcademic · 22/12/2018 00:21

There’s a very short edit of the Victoria Derbyshire clip here, Vegilante:

www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-46186651/emile-ratelband-asks-court-to-declare-him-legally-younger

Ereshkigal · 22/12/2018 07:09

That awful arrogant Sam Levin guy who mostly wrote the execrable handwringing US Guardian article pompously lecturing the U.K. Guardian, when they very slightly acknowledged women might have rights which conflicted with the transagenda. Literal violence!

Which included the words "Journalism should be grounded in the principle that trans women are women" (!)

And that "Phrases such as “male-bodied” and claims that “gender identity does not cancel out sex” are outdated and offensive."

mobile.twitter.com/SamTLevin/status/1058469158931722240

He gets my trophy, in an extremely crowded field.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 22/12/2018 07:21

I'd like to nominate every single man on twitter who pops onto a thread solely to tell a women that feminism isn't feminism unless it includes males transwomen

To that I'd add every ally on FWR who comes on to the board to tell us (1) that they are feminists and (2) it's not feminism if it doesn't include transwomen.

I'd also give them another prize for an inability to use logic and reason.

Fuck off, allies.

SophoclesTheFox · 22/12/2018 07:26

I nominate the midnight misogynist right here on the board who so expertly schools us in what feminism really ought to be about Grin Right before he gets banned for the eleventy millionth time.

NotBadConsidering · 22/12/2018 07:34

Yes, the Midnight Misogynist gets my vote, because I got a decent slow cooker recipe out of his mansplaining, which is more useful than anything the others have contributed.

Sam Levin has written a new bullshit article about the trans man boxer that just gives me the rage rather than a family dinner.

Neurotrash · 22/12/2018 07:43

None to add, haddock would be my top vote.

BigBumandMumTum · 22/12/2018 07:45

The man that explained fitness training to me... A fitness trainer.

He was a factory worker.
