Brilliant Glinner. Don’t stop! Worth listening to if anyone new to the board wonders who some of the individuals discussed here are. Thank you for posting.

NotTerfNorCis · 11/12/2018 19:48

Well said Glinner. Sorry to hear you feel alone. You aren't!

deepwatersolo · 11/12/2018 20:13

Ooooooohh, two people I so want to hear on the issue. Desperately want to watch it, but need to wait til kid sleeps.

FatherBuzzCagney · 11/12/2018 20:22

Thank you for everything you're doing Glinner.

TimeLady · 11/12/2018 20:49

Thank you, Graham.

AncientLights · 11/12/2018 21:20

I can certainly see why Graham feels alone in this, clearly isn't because of us lot and more, but I also wonder why more well-known people are being so cowardly? The list of people I have no respect whatsoever for grows every day.

WrathofbubonicKlop · 11/12/2018 21:31

"Glinner, thankyou for standing up for women and standing up for truth".
Worth a listen.

keeponspinning · 11/12/2018 21:33

Listening now and have posted on Facebook. Thank you so much.

fidgetspinner555 · 11/12/2018 21:33

Thanks again Glinner. You're not alone, you have the support of us here on the Feminism Chat board.

Can't thank you enough for speaking out.

fidgetspinner555 · 11/12/2018 21:34

Forgot to say - you might not want to give up the fight, but you are allowed to take a break.

FlippinFumin · 11/12/2018 21:47

Thank you Graham. You are not alone, there is a whole army of women standing beside you. Solidarity and strength and love to you and your family

NotTerfNorCis · 11/12/2018 21:51

I see TRAs have latched onto a comment about how it's important to stand up when 'something bad' comes along - e.g. a harmful ideology. Nazism used as an example. Cue, 'you're comparing trans people to Nazis!' and 'that's even more offensive because trans people were persecuted by Nazis!' TRAs, neither of those things are true alright?

I doubt the idea of 'trans' people was widespread at all at the time. There were people attracted to the same sex, and there were cross-dressers - Göring was said to be a transvestite, and cross-dressing was common in the Wehrmacht. But the concept of being born in the wrong body wouldn't have been widely known. Some TRAs are claiming that 'the lack of historical records on LGBTQ+ issues, trans history in particular, is because Nazis literally burned them all'. Really? Isn't trans supposed to be a universal phenomenon? How did the Nazis wipe out all proof of it from their base in Europe in the space of 12 years?

deepwatersolo · 11/12/2018 22:11

Have just finished listening, loved it. Listening to Glinner about his motivation to keep fighting, even though friends and foes want him to stop, I was reminded of something I heard Chris Hedges say (probably not verbatim): ‚rebels do not rebel because they choose to, rebels rebel because they feel they have no choice.‘

CrazyToast · 11/12/2018 22:13

There was an article about the nazi comment today. Some of my woke friends were posting it on Facebook.

HerFemaleness · 11/12/2018 22:15

Cue 'you're comparing trans people to Nazis!

I don't really see how they can pretend to be angry about this. Some of their number called Rosa Freedman, a Jewish woman, a Nazi. Seems a tad hypocritical.

rightreckoner · 11/12/2018 22:19

Yes that’s a good quote. I am not a brave person but at least now I know - thanks to the TRA madness - that while I might not be on the barricades. I won’t be a collaborator.

I cannot stop myself from saying what I see. I am writing letters. I am opening up discussions with people. I don’t care what people think. I am the least rebellious person ever and suddenly I’m a resistance fighter Grin

And thank you @glinner I started listening to your piece today and will continue tomorrow. It was nice to put a voice to the Twitter feed and to hear your empathy with women. So rare. And although it feels lonely you are not alone and we are so grateful.

Melamin · 11/12/2018 22:31

I really enjoyed listening to all this, this afternoon. I haven't read the Pink News thing. Not sure it is worth the bother.

Definitely worth listening to this though.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 11/12/2018 22:37

Brilliant discussion - thank you both for speaking out the truth and keep up the good work of highlighting the duplicitous forces at play - especially around no debate tactics. Men’s sexual rights Totalitarianism is alive and well alright.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 11/12/2018 22:46

"I haven't read the Pink News thing"

They did publish Graham's comment which is worth a read - it's at the very end so you don't need to read the whole thing Wink

BaronessBlonde · 11/12/2018 23:19

Oh, Graham. What a sound man you are.
A voice for sanity.
Everything he's said here sounds so logical and rational.
It falls in the category of so-obvious-it-does-not-need-to-be-said-at-all......until, unfortunately, it needs to be said again and again.

Excellent quote from the woman who said that the real power in society lies in the things that must not be talked about.

Macareaux · 11/12/2018 23:46

A very unmumsnetty hug to @glinner.

Proof that us men-hating feminazis/vipers don't actually hate men who don't hate us. Odd that.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 11/12/2018 23:47

Glinner, re transage, google stephonee Wolscht, who has advised the Canadian government on trans issues.

Glinner · 12/12/2018 00:19

Bugger, I meant to post this myself. Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

SunsetBeetch · 12/12/2018 06:48

Linda Riley is having a pop at Graham now. And getting panned in the comments. She's going to sue him for libel, apparently Hmm

Start of thread:

"Why is @Glinner so obsessed with Lesbians?"

twitter.com/LindaRiley8/status/1072469198545321986?s=19

"Whoops- libellous £££ Thank you. I am going to enjoy this."

twitter.com/LindaRiley8/status/1072637159256010752?s=19

What an awful woman.

ChewyLouie · 12/12/2018 10:37

The whoop and £££ reminds me of Giant Reid with his fur coat, bought from ill gotten gains when taking part in a hoax. The lies and untruths were uncovered in the end, great episode. Maybe life will mirror fiction 😉
