Hope they don’t back down- women being endlessly silenced (unless they support men). Once you really see what’s going on, it’s infuriating. No wonder it seems to be fast becoming the new anorexia for teen girls, I’d have been tempted to believe the claptrap when I was younger too!

Come on Hull. Hold the line against this nonsense

Another one really hoping Hull University won't cave in on this, otherwise the senior management might as well retire and let the students run the place. One of the important aspects of university education should be learning to listen to and debate differing opinions, rather than living in a little snowflakey bubble where nothing is said which might upset your feelings.

Hull Uni need to hear there is a lot of support out there for JM as we know all too well they will have been piled on by TRA about this. Who can we contact? The Hull I know is free thinking and independently minded, I really hope they don’t fold on this.

If you really do know the person behind this campaign and she is a good person, but you say yourself that you don't believe that she is a woman, how can you agree that Jenni Murray is a Transphobe?
Did you read the article which caused the furore?
Jenni Murray basically says 'Trans women are good and great, have dangers and difficulties and struggles just like the rest of us, but because they are not biologically female they cannot share many women's issues and therefore, although trans women are great, they should not claim to represent women.'
Jenni Murray is no more a transphobe than you are.

Not all women and feminists agree with this stance. I am concerned with attempts to define me as a woman in relation to the cis trans debate. I am not a cis woman but a womanI feel really strongly that the progress of equality for women on a range of fronts including pay, democratic representation, geopolitics, genital mutilation, reproductive rights, domestic violence, health, arts and culture, are being subverted into a single one dimensional trans activist agenda. Whilst trans women need to be recognised, supported and free from the awful discrimination they have had and are our our sisters, this is not the main or only feminist issue in the present time. I have set up this petition in support of the name change remaining the same. We all have equal democratic rights
