I’ve been contacted by the GMC about my complaint and they are asking for any more info. Has anyone got any screenshots etc that I could add to what I’ve provided. Decision on action on 21st December
Thanks

This one where he attacks someone for racism. I don't know what the provocation was but I think spewing such bile lowers him to the same level frankly. I wouldn't want a GP with so much hate and anger festering just beneath the surface.

Working in the health service sometimes people do say unpleasant things. There are professional ways of dealing with it. Would Adrian speak to a person in real life like this? I could imagine an elderly person innocently revealing attitudes from the past and inadvertently triggering a torrent of abuse.

Occasionally the odd racist wanders into my timeline, I think because I follow and sometimes retweet and support people who are campaigning for gun control in the USA. I find it best not to engage although occasionally I may report and block. I just don't know why a doctor would reveal this level of rage, it's quite worrying imo, I think he's unstable.

Blimey - when you see a collection like that on google images Shock
The GMC will have to act now, it's disgraceful and shocking.

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/11/2018 01:20

Does anyone have screenshots of H and cronies 'joking' about women smelling of fish?

KindOfAGeek · 28/11/2018 02:14

Cheers! Wine

I clicked on some of the links, and found others doing research as well. Plus, that search was for screenshots, so I put "deleted" tweets. Take "deleted" out, and the search will expand or modify the search by adding "doxxing" or whatnot to narrow your top results.

uglyandlovingit · 28/11/2018 03:40

I seem to remember one time he tweeted complaining about having to wait for a translator for a patient. Very unprofessional and rude!

TwistedStitch · 28/11/2018 08:37

Yes he appeared to be live tweeting during the consultation with the patient!

He must be constantly tweeting while working as he is omnipresent on Twitter.

SunsetBeetch · 28/11/2018 09:09

Do you have this one? A crowing DM he sent to someone about their suspension.

There was a dreadful exchange in April with a woman who spoke honestly of her mixed feelings around motherhood in the context of PND. He and Jessen piled on, called her a dreadful mother who should have her kids removed, was utterly horrendous misogyny. Think there was a comment that motherhood was actually a blessing of endless joy and ecstasy (I paraphrase). Since all deleted. No screen shot and I think the person he was replying to would need to consent anyway as was a horrible, personal attack.

TwistedStitch · 28/11/2018 09:13

Iused2 My God they are venomous! He goes from patronising lectures about respect to full blown deranged at the flick of a switch. The idea of him having a position of power over vulnerable people is sickening.

And bloody hell, sending private unsolicited messages to women about 'learning their lesson'- how can he think that is appropriate for anyone, let alone a doctor?

TwistedStitch · 28/11/2018 09:16

Around the time of Posie being doxxed he tweeted an IP address, said this person was responsible for various doxxing and encouraged others to take action. It was literally there for a moment and then deleted, didn't manage to get a screenshot. It struck me that he was trying to encourage a pile on of someone he didn't like, and then thought better of it. Very strange behaviour.

TheSteveMilliband · 28/11/2018 09:23

These are a couple of the responses to the pile on. "Absolute delight" was the terminology.

But seriously, think this is important as he will be looking after patients who are mothers and who will suffer from pnd and ambivalent, difficult feelings about motherhood. It is a real probity concern from GMC perspective.

Avegemitesandwich · 28/11/2018 09:34

There is just no way that Adrian Harrop is suitable to be a doctor. Just no way. Whatever anyone thinks of him personally or whatever, he surely cannot actually be trying to carve out a career in the medical profession?

LizzieSiddal · 28/11/2018 09:38

He and Jessen piled on, called her a dreadful mother who should have her kids removed, was utterly horrendous misogyny. Think there was a comment that motherhood was actually a blessing of endless joy and ecstasy

I remember that, was absolutely unprofessional and shocking. There’s also the the other infamous Jessen and Harrop exchange, about how young teenage girls being married off and having sex at 13, was just a cultural thing and how us silly westerners didn’t quite understand that it was perfectly ok.

Mumfun · 28/11/2018 09:52

So has anyone ever reported Jessen?

Iused2BanOptimist · 28/11/2018 10:17

CJ sails close to the wind but I suspect a PR person keeps a close eye these days.
I think he must have been reported in the past as he reassured young Ade that the GMC weren't interested in twitter and he had nothing to worry about. I think he steers clear of associating with someone so toxic now though, not seen any encouraging tweets for his biggest fan in a long while.

Iused2BanOptimist · 28/11/2018 10:24

I wish I had screenshots but CJ there were a couple of times he was particularly out of order.
Once he cheerfully announced to the twittersphere that he had just diagnosed a syphilitic chancre in his private clinic. He was rebuked for confidentiality and defended himself but the tweet soon went.
Another time someone was guilty, in his eyes, of homophobia, I think it was a business and involved a court case or something like that iirc. Anyway he said something along the lines of please feel free to post some dog shit through the letterbox - the address was in the public sphere.
He soon retracted and said of course I didn't mean this literally.

If someone has the post that started this off?

drspouse · 28/11/2018 11:00

Does anyone have the screenshot of him agreeing that marrying a child is not always abuse but it's "cultural relativism"?

TwistedStitch · 28/11/2018 11:07

This one?

drspouse · 28/11/2018 11:12

Yep!

Iused2BanOptimist · 28/11/2018 11:13

I may be up to my limit today.

hackmum · 28/11/2018 11:16

Just appalled at the mocking of Graham Linehan's cancer. Pretty grim from anyone, but from a doctor, just gobsmackingly unprofessional.

There was also that tweet he did where the receptionist at his GP practice sent him an email saying a patient had been grateful for the quality of the consultation. He'd blacked out the name of the practice but it was still visible. Not sure how serious that is, as the patient wasn't named. But still not good form to be tweeting emails.

Threewheeler1 · 28/11/2018 11:38

I'd say he has a serious personality disorder, at the very least.
It's an endless stream of woman-hating, meaningless rubbish.
And he's styled himself as one of the cult medical gurus with a fruitful sideline of verbally abusing & doxxing gc women online.
I can't believe he's still a practicing medic.
Come on GMC, do something about this dangerous doctor.
