I've received a twelve-hour ban from Twitter so I thought I'd take the chance to say hello lovely mumsnetters! Thank you for all the support and kind words and very proud to be on your side.

I'm not deleting the tweets because I stand by them and there's nothing offensive about them. See for thyself, fellow witches!

And a tiny dropletfor women, up there on the left

I think we're the oppressive rain the umbrella is keeping out. To be honest I wondered if Sandy had drawn it as with femanists being up there too it seemed a caricature of itself.

RiverTam · 17/11/2018 22:33

Hey, Glinner, god to see you here.

My peak trans was about 2 or 3 years ago, here on MN, on a thread discussing the decision of the International Olympic Committee to allow men who’d ‘lived as a woman’ for a year (no surgery necessary] and had reduced their testosterone to 10 units per litre of blood. Which is still 3 times more that a woman’s ever will be. And quite aside from all the other physical advantages men have over women.

The scales fell from my eyes pretty rapidly since then and my sight has become clearer with every passing day. It was a true ‘red pill’ Matrix moment.

Teen Vogue's "black menstruators"

I've just seen that one. Eye-poppingly infuriating.

pombear · 17/11/2018 22:42

ROwan Tara's film is one of THE best go-to examples when some posters are looking to tap in to the head-tilt/female empathy vote.

Tara is stood up there telling everyone in the room that the definition 'transexual' as part of the trans-umbrella is a bit outdated and old-fashioned (ie, what most of the general public would think of as 'trans' and 'dysphoria') and the healthcare professionals in the room should be altering healthcare provision for 'men with a fetish for cross-dressing' and drag king and queens who dress up for entertainment purposes only.

As always, when I post about this amazing film, I rhetorically ponder why no one in the room had questions for Tara at the end of this workshop trans-sermon.

cockBlocker · 17/11/2018 22:51

Feminist4 - I don't know why you wish to deny autogynephilia fetish exists, it's as old as the hills, plenty of stuff online to confirm that, as well as the experiences of transwidows.

Here's a discussion board with trans people discussing AGP fetish and stating that it does exist.
www.reddit.com/r/asktransgender/comments/3qssmh/why_are_some_trans_people_so_obsessed_with_agp/

There's loads of stuff about AGP on 4Chan

Just scrolling through the not lying bullshit posts on here, and something else sprang up - 'Conversion therapy'. I found myself explaining to someone that I wasn't 'affirming' my daughter in her belief that she was male, but I was letting her present herself to the world however she liked and helping her come to terms with her body. I was told, point blank, that this was 'Conversion therapy'.

Having actually survived conversion therapy for being same-sex attracted, I immediately saw that there was nothing remotely progressive about trans ideology, because I know first hand that conversion 'therapy' is the complete opposite to letting some be who they are and be comfortable in the skin they actually have.

I’m picturing him with a Jameson in hand and hoarse from yelling - you just described me! (Except it was Black Bush)

It’s the one with the hairy hands - The one with St Clabbert’s? I had a great uncle who ended up in a home for alcoholic priests and that always reminds me of him. Father Ted wasn’t a sitcom, it was an amusing documentary.

Glinner · 17/11/2018 23:10

"Not lying bullshit posts". Nice bit of projection there from someone to absolutely take seriously.

I did not know about the rugby as I'm allergic to sports, I'm afraid. But hurrah, anyway!

cockBlocker · 17/11/2018 23:15

Hey Glinner, I reported some posts from people who were giving you grief today, I've got your back ;)

UpstartCrow · 17/11/2018 23:16

Thats 537 cups of tea.

FloralBunting · 17/11/2018 23:16

Glinner, did you just snark at me for projection? I'm crushed. Please read my post again...

pombear · 17/11/2018 23:17

Cock readers don't even have to scroll through Reddit for confirmaton that AGP is real.

Tara says it, on film.

For any lurkers wondering, the acronym AGP just means 'sexual fetish' and Tara, as a Trans trainer, states very clearly in Tara's lecture, that having a fetish for dressing in women's clothes is included in the definition of trans.

(NB: Any one diagnosed with any serious health condition deserves dignity, respect and good healthcare. They may be extremely right wing to the extent of criminal prosecution, or perhaps a criminal for other reasons. They may like dressing up as a furry or an adult baby for kicks. They all deserve good care. For some reason, 'trans' gets a higher pass at the moment, and glitter and unicorns for workshps, lectures, and, in the case of men with a fetish for women's clothing, somehow a pass to be the 'most discriminated' of all and therefore most deserving of lectures and Tara's attentions.)

pombear · 17/11/2018 23:21

Waves at Glinner (sorry, forgot you'd started this, due to further posts!).

As you'll have seen, the beauty of Mumsnet is that, unlike Twitter, this is a conversation, noone gets deleted unless they breach the guidelines, and it meanders along depending on previous posts. Often going off track of the OP (original poster's) intention!

PS: If you have 20 minutes, go watch Tara!

Glinner · 17/11/2018 23:23
