Hullo!

Anyone tempted to go to this and report back? Note: if one is concerned about being recognised as a 'TERF', then I propose dyeing your hair a suitable colour (neon blue/electric pink/fluorescent green), wearing enormous spectacles, and a too tight shiny dress.

''After the vigil to mark Trans day of remembrance, Sister Not Cis-ter and Sheffield Action for Trans Health invite you to this workshop to discuss together the rising threat of transphobia and trans misogyny from so-called “radical feminists”

Over the last year or so, we have seen an increase in Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists (TERFs) rearing their hateful heads and spouting bigotry with great ferocity, often within our own communities.

Come to this workshop to learn more about why TERFs are so dangerous and discuss the ways in which standing up against trans hatred is directly connected to fighting racism, sexism, capitalism and the prison system.
We will talk about what we can – and must – do to stop them.
Zines will be available!
The venue is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible toilet.''

You know I would, but I think I am vair, vair busy on that day doing bowel surgery on myself, with a stick.

This is my hateful heads
🧙‍♀️🧟‍♀️🧟‍♀️
All of them spouting

DancelikeEmmaGoldman · 07/11/2018 12:33

I’m struck, as so often, by the hyperbole and melodrama which seems stock-in-trade for trans activists.

littlbrowndog · 07/11/2018 12:36

Yeps why don’t they just go to the pub and have a laugh
Jeez get some hobbies or a life or ffs have a laugh instead of boring on

stillathing · 07/11/2018 12:42

discuss the ways in which standing up against trans hatred is directly connected to fighting racism, sexism, capitalism and the prison system.

Do they think that saying this enough times will make it true?

*I agree it is right to stand up to "trans hatred" though. But radical feminists and gender critical people do not hate trans people.

naivetyisthenewblack · 07/11/2018 12:52

discuss the ways in which standing up against trans hatred is directly connected to fighting racism, sexism, capitalism and the prison system

Yeah, right. That's why trans activism is funded by billionaire arch capitalists in the US and makes millions for the pharmaceutical industry. Really sticking it to the man, aren't they.

And sexist - having your own movement's slur for outspoken women and lesbians, that's a sure sign of a movement fighting sexism, isn't it?!

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 07/11/2018 13:04

the rising threat of transphobia and trans misogyny from so-called “radical feminists”

Oh, my. They do like to get their boxers in a bunch, don't they?

How much do you want to bet that the venue will not cancel due to threats from terfs? Or that there will be a conspicuous absence of terfs in balaclavas blocking the entrance to or the stairways within the venue?

Melamin · 07/11/2018 13:04

What's with the obsession with prisons? I this Jess's latest job?

FloralBunting · 07/11/2018 13:07

I'm trying to remember the incident where a 'TERF' pushed a transperson down some stairs.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 07/11/2018 13:08

That would have the 12th of Never, Floral.

Can you pop round and remove my bigotry after? x

Weezol · 07/11/2018 13:13

I would very much like their definition of 'war', especially in relation to the current Rembrance 1914-18 events.

There does seem to be a problem with 'w' words among the woke.

hellandhairnets · 07/11/2018 13:13

And sexist - having your own movement's slur for outspoken women and lesbians, that's a sure sign of a movement fighting sexism, isn't it?!

Isn't it just.

Pathetic. Sorry to tell you chaps, but the world is waking up to your vile misogynistic and homophobic hate speech. It isn't going to go away and neither are we. We can see you.

Still, we did predict "escalation" from these narcissists, did we not?

Datun · 07/11/2018 13:22

This must be about providing as many people as possible with their usual arguments.

Debunked suicide statistics, hate speech, why they're marginalised, etc.

Cos they've got nothing else.

Bring it on. Let's hear it all.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 07/11/2018 13:22

The obsession with feminists

I mean we do control the world so they’ve got us there

Truly, fight radical feminism and you are in fact fighting The Man

Must go, I’m due at a shadowy meeting of world leaders. Or is it WI this afternoon? Must check my diary

littlbrowndog · 07/11/2018 13:25

Narcissistic injury is a potent drug

PurpleOva · 07/11/2018 13:26

FloralBunting The gander was a TERF!

(sorry, it's my only stair throwing reference, and you know old man in a ladies chamber).

Actually thinking about it, it's "I" not the gander huh? Never really analysed that nursery rhyme before.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 07/11/2018 13:30

The obsession with feminists
It's an obsession with hating women (I mean the cunty ones) but feminists are the thin edge of the wedge because it's acceptable to hate them (us).

BlytheSpiritsSpirit · 07/11/2018 15:06

Not in Facebook. Where and when is it? Quite interested actually....

Imnobody4 · 07/11/2018 15:24

so-called “radical feminists” Wonder if Maria Miller will be going.

PositivelyPERF · 07/11/2018 15:35

doing bowel surgery on myself, with a stick.

Suddenly the hand surgery I had recently, doesn’t seem so bad. 😖

Watch you don’t get splinters! 🤣

merrymouse · 07/11/2018 17:20

Is this the first time that fighting radical feminism has been aligned with fighting capitalism?

Is Julie Bindel’s yacht in Monaco or the Cayman Islands? Is it next to Linda Bellos’ yacht?

UpstartCrow · 07/11/2018 17:22

Threewheeler1 PositivelyPERF Grin

merrymouse · 07/11/2018 17:29

Has anyone seen the leaders of WPUK and the Bilderberg in the same room? I think not! Hmm

AspieAndProud · 07/11/2018 17:33

What actually constitutes their ‘war’ on capitalism?

I mean we know about the violence and threats against women, and the no-platforming, and going after people’s jobs - but what have they done against the banking industry, or the oil industry, the mass media and what have you? What have they done to oppose universal credit or to defend pensions or ensure old people don’t have their fuel cut off in winter?

When does that part of the ‘war’ begin?
