If you can spare the time between changing 'diapers' and giving each other advice about kittens and knitting changing facilities, get a load of this article about why British feminists are mean and horrid. I am so embarrassed for the girl who wrote this. She's spoiling for a scrap with t**fs on Twitter, but I fear she'll only get snorts of derision.

She so wants attention on her Twitter. COME FOR ME TRFS. Interesting how she the t word on Twitter. Thought she'd be braver given her stance. Almost like she knows it's not acceptable.

I'm sure she can't have been on 4chan if she thinks we're the British equivalent!

And I honestly thought she was American with the language she used.

Glinner is bringing her to task over the libellous comments. Bless her heart she IS going to need that wine. Hopefully her baby will wake her up nice and early Grin

Totally can't be bothered to read this total guff from another online blogger that can't engage their brain. There's so much wrong with this it's ridiculous.

Threewheeler1 · 05/11/2018 18:17

Oh my word. Who is she?
That was a painful read. Because it was a massive, inaccurate pile of dribble-shite.
Oh sorry, there I go, being mean again.
I really shouldn't wield my limitless, womany, feminist power so carelessly. I'm off to terfily pair up some socks.

HamiltonCork · 05/11/2018 18:18

It was really badly written and I gave up half way through (this is one of my pet peeves with social media - it’s given a platform for mediocre writers)

FoldyRoll · 05/11/2018 18:20

Assassinated The best bit is where she says Madigan is talented. The bar is too low to even see.

OP posts:
BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 05/11/2018 18:23

look, I tried to read it

but then she said gender is assigned at birth so I had to stop before the stupid made me rip a telephone directory in half (and let me tell you those fuckers are hard to find these days)

Badstyley · 05/11/2018 18:24

I managed half. Whatevs, not sure why I even wasted time clicking on the ill informed ramblings of some talentless halfwit handmaiden blogger in the first place. Silly me.

KatVonGulag · 05/11/2018 18:24

Didn't you know you can self id into the talented bracket now ? Grin

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 05/11/2018 18:26

But it's amazing! Dozens of other people have said so! Hmm

AssassinatedBeauty · 05/11/2018 18:27

The thing that made me give up almost immediately is the internalised misogyny, demonstrated by the total swallowing of the "evil terf" line, without any kind of critical examination of that. And the total belief in gender as the differentiator between men/women male/female, instead of sex.

OrchidInTheSun · 05/11/2018 18:30

Critical thinking has clearly passes poor Edie by

Still, her cool girl creds are solid

Zofloramummy · 05/11/2018 18:30

Assigned at birth is such a ridiculous concept. You are born with female or male genitalia. For a small percentage they have both (but intersex is a completely different issue).

Assigning makes it sound like a professional or parents just randomly exclaim “oh it’s a girl”. Completely negates a biological fact. Makes me rather angry 😡

Belindabauer · 05/11/2018 18:32

I have up reading too.
Gender is not the same as sex.

That is it. Full stop.

Be what ever the hell gender you choose, make one up for all I care, but sex is not gender.

NotTerfNorCis · 05/11/2018 18:34

She has a horribly patronising attitude towards Mumsnet. Reeks of sexism.

Zofloramummy · 05/11/2018 18:36

I get that some people have genuine dysmorphia and I wish them well.

I’m scared shitless by the barn door wide open approach of letting any self id person into female spaces.

I’m deeply concerned about the anti women rant of the trans movement. Somehow they are more female than we are?

I’m very concerned about the pressure the lesbian community are facing with the whole ‘lady dick’ issue and being labelled transphobic if they decline a trans woman.

As the mum of a daughter I am really worried about her safety.

I was merrily oblivious to this whole issue until started reading up after a few threads on MN hit Active.

Avegemitesandwich · 05/11/2018 18:38

It's misogynistic, claims that Lily Madigan is 'talented' and asserts that a belief in biology is some sort of fetish. And it's terribly written.

0/10

Waterparc · 05/11/2018 18:40

I envy her her hair. She's also articulate and fluent.

so it's a thumbs up from me. Other than the content which I disagree with.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 05/11/2018 18:40

All very 'Hey, I'm a cool girl, look, look, I'm not one of those awful women who contradict men, please like me, please please can I have a cookie crumb', isn't it?

BlardyBlar · 05/11/2018 18:41

Ah, the Mumsnet coven. We’re the Epitome of Evil!

Cackles

sackrifice · 05/11/2018 18:46

Utter drivel.
And only written to attract the T**FS. But too dull to actually critique.

MrsNathanDrake · 05/11/2018 18:48

I still can't get past the fact that being a 'homeopathy hater' is an insult. Being a homeopathy hater implies a level of critical thinking and looking at things like actual real science, which seems to be missing from the more vocal TRAs.

And as an aside, I am really grateful for the eye opening I have received via this board.

TigerDrankAllTheWaterInTheTap · 05/11/2018 18:50

Yes, I was stopped in my tracks by that, MrsNathanDrake!

BrickByBrick · 05/11/2018 18:50

I stopped at her telling us not to worry and that transwomen in prisons are not a threat, because of you know Karen White.

Avegemitesandwich · 05/11/2018 18:54

She also gets sex and gender mixed up.

BrickByBrick · 05/11/2018 19:03

Since when has someone not agreeing with someone else's opinion make them a hater? I've seen it more and more in the last few years. First with MLM and now it seems everything. I read an article by a prominent TRA in a professional magazine and even they used 'haters' to describe people who may abuse those from the trans community.

And now we have homeopathy haters.
