US Doctor dyes patient's vagina purple as prank for her husband

Why the fuck is this revolting specimen still allowed to practise as a gynaecologist?!

The victim worked for him and is a recent cancer survivor. She had a double mastectomy a couple of years ago and was worried when she found a lesion on her vagina that her cancer might be coming back. So she asked her boss to take a look. I can't imagine how violated that poor woman must feel.

Also I really hope her husband said "WTF is wrong with that guy?" rather than "dur hur hur, he dyed your vagina, that's hilarious", or she needs another husband as well as a new doctor.

Insult to all the male gynaecologists who manage to do their job without assaulting patients .

And how dare they victim blame the poor woman. She must have been terrified when she thought her cancer was back and he goes and does this...dick head.

The guy didn't even really know the husband. There's no reason to think he was less than supportive of his wife. It's just so depressing that the doctor thought he could treat a woman's body this way. And even more depressing that he was right. One of the terms of his sentence was that he must apologise to the victim. He hasn't even done that.

I've always been in the "don't mind who looks at my vagina so long as they're a professional" camp. Both my babies were delivered by men, likewise my miscarriage surgery. But I just can't imagine a female performing such a "prank". It's assault, pure and simple. Whatever happened to "First do no harm"?

You don't get much choice in the NHS sometimes. When I had to see a gynaecologist a few years ago there wasn't a female one in the hospital, they were all male. Although as it happens he was a very nice man, very professional and there was a chaperone there at all times. But still, it's a shame that the choice is not always available.

You can't imagine how a gynaecologist could manage to do this? Because when I'm having a smear/VE done I can't see what they're doing down there. I imagine that's the same for most women.

We really need to be holding these doctors who do such appalling things more appropriate punishments - it's not funny, it's not acceptable, and that he thought of it and then did it means to me that he doesn't have the right attitude to be a gynecologist at all.

But this has nothing to do with him being a male gynaecologist and everything to do with him being a shit and a cockwomble if the highest order. I can't believe he's allowed to practise and escaped jail time 
I'm sure there are male gynaecologists out there who are just as horrified by this and would never dream on doing anything like this.
