US Doctor dyes patient's vagina purple as prank for her husband

Why the fuck is this revolting specimen still allowed to practise as a gynaecologist?!

The victim worked for him and is a recent cancer survivor. She had a double mastectomy a couple of years ago and was worried when she found a lesion on her vagina that her cancer might be coming back. So she asked her boss to take a look. I can't imagine how violated that poor woman must feel.

And, isn’t it a seriously bad idea to introduce chemicals into a woman’s vagina, especially a woman who has had gini cancer?

How isn’t the utter stupidity and malice of this being punished?

Datun · 30/10/2018 10:38

I'm sure there are male gynaecologists out there who are just as horrified by this and would never dream on doing anything like this.

I'm sure there are. But if you didn't know the sex of this gynaecologist, you would hazard a guess that they were male.

Can you imagine a woman doctor doing that to man's penis? I know it's difficult, because he would see. But anything even remotely similar? And saying, by the way, show your wife your penis tonight, nudge, nudge. Then telling her colleagues and having a laugh?

Badgerthebodger · 30/10/2018 10:46

The sick fucker. I am in shock that he thought it was in any way acceptable, never mind funny. He shouldn’t be within a million miles of a woman, nor should he have kept his license. I sincerely hope word is well and truly out in his local area and the dirty shitbag loses all his patients and goes bankrupt. He doesn’t deserve to continue to practice. I’m horrified for that poor woman, she must have been terrified thinking her cancer had come back and that revolting man treated her like she wasn’t even human. So proud of himself he TOLD people FFS. Grim beyond belief.

AngryAttackKittens · 30/10/2018 10:54

Maybe one of his coworkers will put laxitives in his coffee.

Well no I can't but then until I read this I wouldn't have imagined a male gynaecologist doing this and keeping his job.
My point is that some people are massive shits who hurt others for fun. It's not a male trait.... females are equally capable of behaving breathtakingly badly.

Datun · 30/10/2018 12:10

It's not a male trait.... females are equally capable of behaving breathtakingly badly.

Not at all to the same degree. Sexual crime 98 times out of 100 will be committed by a male.

Sexual crime is statistically very sex specific.

Purpleartichoke · 30/10/2018 12:35

Genetian violet dyes the skin purple. It is used for treating thrush, so might be found in a ob/gyn office

Absolutely awful man who should have lost his license.

LassWiADelicateAir · 30/10/2018 12:36

And the comments . All blaming her for seeing a male gynae cos apparently she shouldn't have expected anything else

In the Mail? No they aren't. Most who comment are as shocked as on here and that particular comment is being voted down.

Cocolepew · 30/10/2018 12:44

This is horrific, the poor woman.
Apart from the fact this is so inappropriate its unreal, she wanted reassurance her cancer hadn't returned. How uncaring from a medical professional who she also thought of as a friend.

MoltenLasagne · 30/10/2018 12:46

It's not a male trait.... females are equally capable of behaving breathtakingly badly.

And yet somehow, time and again, it's 90% - 95% men who act like this.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 30/10/2018 13:01

Agree that if yuu had to guess the sex of a doc who had

Dyed a woman's vagina as a "joke" while checking her as she was concerned about a lesion, having previously had breast cancer
Told her that when she got home she should show her vagina to her husband
Told the others who worked there about the joke

You'd guess man wouldn't you.
The bit about telling the husband to have a look at her cunt hahaha is v v v male indeed.

Agree with the comments about how he saw her as a prop for a shared joke with her husband.

He's working for the military now where presumably the women get little / zero choice about what gnae they see if they need one. So he has a captive group to perform his little "jokes" on.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 30/10/2018 13:04

I hope this comes to the attention of the military and they reconsider his employment.

Loads of DM comments going on about how
This isn;t assualt
This isn't sexual assault
This is really quite funny indeed

The words around offences are very aligned with the sorts of things that are likely to happen to men, and the attitudes. Assault = physical attack. Things that are more likely to happen to women and do not result in physical damage or minimal physical damage are not considered / named correctly somehow and are usually minimised. The idea of "proper rape" having physical violence and rape with no extra punching / stabbing etc means not really any "harm done" all feeds into this. Or the upskirting thing recently would be another example.

Could do with a rethink so women's (girls) experience of the world is represented properly in criminal law etc.

PerthaBley · 30/10/2018 13:25

I feel quite sick at the thought. Reminds me of the thread about how pelvic exams are undertaken on unconscious women having a different procedure, for practice.

It makes me want to get a tattoo on my thighs and abdomen saying "I do not consent to anything that I haven't signed for"

Buy that wouldn't necessarily protect me either. :(

Datun · 30/10/2018 13:28

Could do with a rethink so women's (girls) experience of the world is represented properly in criminal law etc.

Totally. I've learnt more about sexism, misogyny and the attitude of men in general from below the line comments to that sort of article, than I could ever have learnt from a lifetime of reading.

Datun · 30/10/2018 13:29

*academic reading

Melanippe · 30/10/2018 13:57

And this is why I will never again see a male gynaecologist.

AngryAttackKittens · 30/10/2018 14:04

And I don't care how many "but women do it too!" comments people post in objection to my refusal to see a male gyno.

A female gynaecologist would not have done this, and we all know it.

AngryAttackKittens · 30/10/2018 14:05

Which, before anyone takes it the wrong way, does not mean the victim is in any way at fault. She should have been able to trust her colleague to act professionally. The blame lies entirely with him.

QuackPorridgeBacon · 30/10/2018 15:36

I just don’t understand how he thought that was in any way ok. Imagine if she or her husband ended up really worried, cue hospital visits etc. Why isn’t this being taken more seriously? Oh yeah, because it happened to a woman at a vulnerable time, of course it doesn’t matter she has a vagina. Only penis can be respected. It’s a fucking piss take.

ohello · 30/10/2018 19:00

I've had enough negative encounters with male practitioners that I always ask for a female regardless of the procedure. Including dentists. Why increase your risk? Besides that, considering what an old boy's network everything still is, I'd rather support increasing the number of women in all the professional fields rather than keep the status quo.

ohello · 30/10/2018 19:02

I also think it's weird that so many men WANT to look at women's vaginas all day long. Name one female proctologist. uhuh, thought so.

Dljlr · 30/10/2018 19:25

Horrific story. But as regards the sex of gynaes, I've had 3 male gynaes and 1 female. The woman gynae was rude to me, dismissive of my story, butchered my surgery, and ignored my repeated attempts to contact her after I was rushed to a&e and hospitalised for days following butchered surgery. She was even more appalling at the follow up appointment months later. I'd never see another female gynae again. The men, on the other hand, were gentle, sympathetic, and managed not to permanently injure me during surgery.

LassWiADelicateAir · 30/10/2018 19:53

Are those of you commenting on the below the line comments only looking at the worst rated ones. There are some which aren't taking it seriously but most are saying this is awful and he should lose his licence.

I've had 2 gynecologists, 1 woman , 1 male the woman was awful. The man dealt with the problem.

ginghamstarfish · 30/10/2018 19:59

Apart from the fact of how vile and wrong this is, what a complete moron to do such a thing in the most litigious place on earth!
