Won't load

Skyejuly · 24/10/2018 22:09

Ah. Got it

Spasm0dic · 24/10/2018 22:31

Will be checking where I can wear this. Already known at work as being a rabid feminist, so probs not there.

FekkoTheLawyer · 24/10/2018 22:35

Sponsor a large flag, sponsor an advert?

Oh Posie what are you planning?😊

arranfan · 24/10/2018 22:39

If I had the money, I'd be commissioning all sorts of flags and banners from Leeds Spinners:

A few kind people have been asking me about possible Xmas gifts I might like.
Shall direct them to www.standingforwomen.com/shop !

needmorespace · 24/10/2018 23:26

ordered

LemonJello · 24/10/2018 23:43

I’d like a mug and key rings. Pens or pencils would also be good- could leave them places.

bitheby · 24/10/2018 23:56

Ordered mine yesterday (keen) and it's already been shipped! No idea where I'll wear it but I will.

arranfan · 24/10/2018 23:59

Would you be happy to wear it, take a photograph (omitting above neck) and post it here for us all to admire?

2rebecca · 25/10/2018 10:15

I wear my t shirt all over the place. Not really a hoodie fan, or a fan of grey. Debating wearing my tshirt to airport at the weekend. It will get a big audience but I don't want added flight hassle, although not travelling to US or Canada so unlikely.

bitheby · 25/10/2018 11:32

Ok...

LurkingLizzy · 25/10/2018 12:00

Wouldn't worry about wearing it. The chances of running into someone who knows what it's about are slim.

bitheby · 25/10/2018 12:55

I'm in the Lib Dems. Have already put my head above the parapet locally.

Socrates11 · 25/10/2018 14:01

Be interested to know how the fit is on the hoodies. I got an XL t-shirt and it's not like the men's larges I usually wear. It fits but it's not very long... (will undershirt it when weather finally turns colder) so feedback on the hoodies would be appreciated...

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 25/10/2018 14:08

I've heard they're quite roomy. Two of my friends have already got theirs & I'm feeling jealous!

Sad to see that rabid commercialisation knows no bounds and intrudes on what is a hugely important issue. I prefer to donate directly safe in the knowledge that no vulnerable young girls have been exploited in the making of some of this merchandise.

This industry sees some outrageous exploitation of vulnerable people worldwide and I for one don’t want to be a part of allowing this to continue - be strong, support the cause but don’t be blind to what is happening all over the world

FekkoThePenguin · 25/10/2018 14:31

How do you know where they were made or by who?

bitheby · 25/10/2018 14:32

Posie said the model on the website is a size 12 and wearing a medium. I'm a 14 and have ordered a large. I'll let you know.

BitterAndOnlySlightlyTwisted · 25/10/2018 14:38

"Debating wearing my tshirt to airport at the weekend. It will get a big audience but I don't want added flight hassle"

Fear not 2rebecca: I wore mine through Gatwick last week, and was proud to wear it! Didn't get hassled or arrested

Badstyley · 25/10/2018 14:40

I got my hoody today. I’m 5.2 and normally about size 12, and a small is fine for me. Normally I’d go for a medium in womens fit but these are unisex size so I went down a size. Looks like I was correct.

HirooOnoda · 25/10/2018 15:00

@FekkoThePenguin

I don’t know and I imagine very few purchasing these tops know either. What I do know is that this industry is renowned for exploiting workers at all stages of the manufacturing process across the globe. How much of the rather exorbitant £30 for a hoodie will end up in the hands of those individuals making these garments?

As I said, we can support the cause without further encouraging the ongoing exploitation of workers around the world

FekkoThePenguin · 25/10/2018 15:09

But you dont know? I guess we could ask the question.

KatesMott · 25/10/2018 15:21

I do think @HirooOnoda makes a good point- to me the prices seem cheap as opposed to extortionate so this raises some alarm bells, I’d also like to know how the money made from the merchandise is spent specifically what percentage goes directly to the campaign
