The consultation is going to be discussed tomorrow on Women's Hour. They are asking for our views!

I've replied, it ended up far longer than I intended but I started by listing the numerous attempts to silence feminists, the violence, threats, cancelled meetings, cancelled posters, etc then listed a few key transgender people who had directly affected women by exploiting self id and basically said my comment is enough is enough and we need to stand up for ourselves...

I'd be interested to hear what they produce.

I’ve emailed. I’m afraid I think it was rather waffle and not very precise but hopefully they get the idea. I did point out that perhaps if they wanted to know about how women who dare to challenge the TRA narrative even a little then perhaps they could ask Jenni Murray.

I've emailed, I thanked them for finally discussing it. And explained how the EA and the GRA are in conflict. I also mentioned however the BBC has been allowing untruths to fly unchallenged, eg Ruth Hunt and her "the law says TWAW" on PM.

Said about how predatory men will always take advantage of a way to access women, and this is no different.

I have pretty much zero hope that it will be in any way balanced or supportive of women.

I’ve emailed - I have no hope of the BBC anymore, but I told some personal anecdotes about how this affects me as a parent and as a teacher as I knew all the rest of you GC legends would be on the case with the objective facts. As the trans narratives they include try to be as personal and emotive as possible I’ll see how they respond to that as opposed to all the science and logic that they aren’t listening to.

Pleased you are hosting this conversation.

I'd like to request that you clear up the use of the terms at the outset of the conversation. I believe that lack of clarity on the terminology has contributed to misunderstanding in this debate. The terms themselves are not uncontentious, but suggest you clarify from the get go how you will use the terms.

I suggest:

Sex- biological reality. Observed at birth.
Gender- social construct
Transgender person- a person who feels that their gender is at odds with their sex
Transexual- person who has undergone treatment (hormones/surgery)

Have a long drive this morning so will be listening while on the road. Good thing it’s the A40 not a motorway because I might need to pull over and rant at the radio - though still hoping it will take account of GC views.
