Yes I saw a tweet from ASA earlier that said they had had complaints and would be looking into it.

Even if Metro do issue an apology (and I strongly suspect they will) it doesn't matter, people have seen it. Sane, rational people. Hopefully this will influence them to fill in the consultation!

Do the ASA rule on political stuff? I thought that was one of the problems that Brexit threw up? The £350m couldn’t be challenged through the ASA?

The Advertising standards Authority said "Ads may contain opinions, views or ideologies that may be distasteful to some without necessarily breaking the rules.”

gently I think it's more that political campaigning is not part of their remit. That's what they said when they wrote back to me after I complained about one of the infamous Brexit adverts. It was a blatant lie and they were powerless to stop it. It will be interesting to see what they have to say about the Metro ad.

TRA reactions on twitter are pretty funny when you are aware of autogynephilia and how people with narcissist personality disorder react when unhappy about something. Don't you know that women being concerned about safety regarding self-ID and men in our spaces means that many trans people will commit suicide and also some can't even afford a newpaper?! So dramatic.
