Not sure if this has already been posted. Lily Madigan, the women's officer, saying that a group of women they disagree with can go fuck themselves. Labour are a fucking joke.

I don't believe I'm imagining that this was also a person who celebrated when a number of women said they were leaving the Labour party because of their stance on these issues.

I recently contacted the Rochester and Strood CLP to complain about LM.
They told me that LM is NOT the WO and was only doing it for about a month.
Who knows what the truth is?

Yes, a month. Apparently is unable to do any activism because of University course.
CLP even denied that LM was a party member.

Are they just too embarrassed by LM?

Rochester and Strood labour Party should be able confirm publicly who is or has been in post at any given time as that is a matter of the public record. Given that it’s an elected representative position and all.

Seems strange that the Wikipedia page for Lily Madigan says Lily is still in post (CLP women’s Officer for Rochester and Strood is given as Lily’s title).

Which would seem a bit strange given these pages are easy to edit and facts should be referenced?:

CLP don't seem to know much about LM or even care, which is worrying.

Gosh, poor young LM. How many diagnosed medical conditions is that now? I don't remember if we knew about LM being intersex before, which is surely the only possible interpretation of that last tweet. I do wonder if someone with so many health issues is the best person to be a trailblazer for womb implants and IVF into a biologically male body.

I am blocked on Twitter, but I had a look incognito and I see that LM is encouraging supporters to complete the GRA consultation to ensure that LM can get married in the future. Apparently unless it's reformed LM can't get married. Can anyone explain in very simple terms what this can possibly mean, given that there is no block on same-sex marriage? I thought LM had a GRC - although of course a few months ago LM tweeted about how difficult it would be to get one, so I suppose LM had forgotten about receiving it, around two years after turning 18. An easy mistake to make.

I believe LM was accepted onto a Politics degree course. I saw a claim from someone else, but can't vouch for the accuracy of this, that the normal academic qualifications were relaxed a bit and credit was given for activism, or maybe lived experience.

Yesterday I heard a piece on the news saying that overweight people are the most oppressed group in society.
My immediate thought was LM would now declare themselves to be fat

All this competitive oppression is farcical. I'm fucking sick of it. It does a disservice to those who really do have problems.

The people who are most oppressed don't have TV programmes about them whining about how oppressed they are.

That's kinda the point and reason why they are vulnerable. Because they fall through the cracks and are outside most people's thought process and sphere of concern.

All very odd if the above account of lack of involvement in CLP is true. Is she officially representing the labour party or can any member represent themselves as "the labour party's xxxxxx?
