Not sure if this has already been posted. Lily Madigan, the women's officer, saying that a group of women they disagree with can go fuck themselves. Labour are a fucking joke.

I bet my life that if I was to go through Trump threads reporting the (I am assuming MANY) posts where he is insulted, nothing would happen. Its slightly tempting to do this, just to check. I can't see the posters on those threads being impressed if their posts start disappearing, but surely, if its good enough for FWR posters, it should be good enough for AIBU? I don't understand why the new guidelines only apply to here anyway tbh, its most unfair.

I was being sarcastic Verbeena, and it's obviously a 'joke' given Lily's previous tweets about the rights being mutually exclusive.

Oh good grief. Not for the first time either. I think the police may regret pandering to spurious hate speech and harrassment accusations. Hopefully someone in charge will be forced to have a bit of a rethink and tighten up the 'rules'.

How many (actual, real) crime reports aren't being followed up - it's in the news today? Maybe the police are busy pacifying some rather delicate youngsters.

Madigan needs to develop a slightly thicker skin (and develop more diplomatic media skills) if Madigan wants to enter politics on a serious level - our MPs (particularly our female MPs) get incredible levels of abuse - and are in real danger of actual violence (rather than just the 'literal' violence of deadnaming or misgendering). Jo Cox, for example.

Why don't Madigan and co ever get charged with wasting police time? All they ever seem to do is report people to the police for disagreeing with them.

I wonder how long Madigan can remain women's officer of the Rochester and Strood CLP? They're at college in Goldsmiths, south east London, so if they're living near the university, rather than at home, then they're no longer in the constituency and shouldn't have a post there.

But nobody actually believes that! Outside of the young-labour bubble, Madigan might find things are v different.

'The dog ate my homework' defence usually involves someone who cannot be charged with offences or held to account, however - throwing your brother under the bus is an especially nasty tactic.

No LM can’t claim that as apparently their accounts was hacked prior to those tweets and google helped them. So doubt very much.

Also if they blame a friend or the dog for tweeting them, I would seriously question security of any data they also might have gain access to, given their position.

Lily needs to realise that as a person in the public eye, people are allowed to criticize when Lily says daft thing, such as abusiver terms about women while being a womans officer. Even if Lily was not in the public eye, being on twitter means people can reply to your tweets, thats kind of the whole point of it! If Lily does not want people to comment on Lilys posts, Lily should not post.
