I find this article as clear as mud, but do not have any legal training - can anyone who understands it explain how GC discussion is misconceived, as from my reading of it she doesn’t explain how Self ID might not be abused?
This assumption that all trans people have pure intentions frustrates me. It’s patently absurd. A small percentage of all social groups will be arseholes.

You have understood the article and the massive flaw in its logic entirely correctly.

I did wonder though! I would prefer to read an article from a neutral person with no vested interest tbh - a transwoman writing an article about how the debate is misconceived rather sticks in the craw.
