MB is having a little tantrum.

Not very bright, are they?

The hate is strong in that one. Of course us women shouldn't be asked about women's spaces! How silly of us to think it's our business. Tsk.

Hoppinggreen · 05/10/2018 19:44

None of us Women’s business who uses women’s toilets apparently

LilyMumsnet · 05/10/2018 19:46

Hi OP,

We've edited your title as we couldn't really allow that to stand. Give us a shout if there's anything we can clarify.

TerfedOff · 05/10/2018 19:47

Gosh this is terrible.

How can this be allowed?

TerfedOff · 05/10/2018 19:48

Do we all go on there with our statistics showing that this is completely untrue?

VickyEadie · 05/10/2018 19:51

If you have a Twitter account, why not?

WomanOfTime · 05/10/2018 19:59

@MunroeBergdorf
If you think that cis-women [sic] should hold dominion over 'womanhood' because they are the majority or because they 'will have their identity thrown into question'. Your ideaologies [sic] draw very similar parallels to that of white supremacists and white nationalists.

MB likes to argue with positions that nobody actually holds, doesn't MB? We don't think that anyone is 'cis.' Women 'hold dominion' over womanhood because it is actually theirs. It isn't terra nullius for men to come along and define however they like. Nothing to do with identity, everything to do with reality.

OvaHere · 05/10/2018 20:03

Nasty women trying to take womanhood away from the men it really belongs to.

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 05/10/2018 20:07

bless

ErrolTheDragon · 05/10/2018 20:07

Women don't want to tell transwomen what's best for them.

Women want to tell politicians what's best for women.

Women should (though unfortunately don't) 'hold dominion over womanhood' because being a woman is a necessary prerequisite for womanhood.

(Woman, as ever, is defined as 'adult human female')

ThefusilliJerry · 05/10/2018 20:07

Confused by the sneeriness about middle aged women. If this shining intellectual light believes “her” own propaganda, she must beluve she’ll be one one day.
Or can middle age be identified out of too? My short term memory loss says otherwise ...

ChrysanthemumsAreMums · 05/10/2018 20:08

TheFusilli

No, MB will always be 25

ThefusilliJerry · 05/10/2018 20:11

But here’s the thing. “She” won’t. And what happens when physical reality forces itself on such a person?
It’s hard to see a good outcome there. Odious and obnoxious though Bergdorf undoubtedly is, “she” is also pitiable.

RiverTam · 05/10/2018 20:14

I wouldn’t worry about it. MB got MB’s arse handed to MB when MB posted that stat about transWOC only living until 35. I really don’t think that many people are listening anymore.

Estellesylvia · 05/10/2018 20:18

MB claims MB’s life expectancy is 35 so middle age won’t be a problem for MB.

OP posts:
ShineOnHarvestMoon · 05/10/2018 20:20

She’s really not very bright, is she? Er, yes, women - actual real women - do get to define what womanhood is, because guess what, we’re women!

The demand that people listen to her about what womanhood is looks awfully like very entitled masculine behaviour.

Gender roles, eh?

ThefusilliJerry · 05/10/2018 20:21

Dying at 35 to avoid middle age is surely a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut?
Silly billy

AbsintheFriends · 05/10/2018 20:33

I find it so wearying how women's concerns keep getting diverted back to being about transwomen.

One of the complaints I made to Ofcom about the PP This Morning stitch up was that the title plastered across the screen said 'Transgender Billboard Row'. Ffs, it was a women's billboard, literally defining woman.

ErrolTheDragon · 05/10/2018 20:36

. Ffs, it was a women's billboard, literally defining woman.

Which was being objected to primarily by a man. It was an anti-woman activists row about a woman's billboard.

BesmirchingMotherhood · 05/10/2018 20:41

Can MB see me?

@Sarahjconnor it's great to have those kind of statistics & just the sort of thing I want to try to remember. Have you a source/link I can look up for those?

I've noticed such a shift in the last couple of months of change of language around women/transwomen & it feels like more people are seeing the issue. Anyone else feeling more heartened of late?

happydappy2 · 05/10/2018 20:49

Ah the old, this is all about Meeeeee no cis women need have an opinion on laws that affect them. I am the biggest victim here.

Well nope, we have a vested interest in laws that affect who is termed a woman. The inability of MB to see things from a woman’s point of view says it all really.

ShineOnHarvestMoon · 05/10/2018 20:54

Yeah, you’d think Monroe Bergdorf would at least pretend that she was acting like a woman, wouldn’t you?
