Given she hasn’t even met with any women’s groups concerned about the clash with their rights, or bothered with even a webchat here to find out what mumsnetters are actually worried about, I find this a rather sinister stance.

Yes - Penny Mordaunt. I demand that you educate the Public. Really educate us. With impartial arguments and documented facts. With impact statements. With plans for pilots and cut-off points for assessing how things are progressing and if there are any unintended consequences.

Like the design of properly-conducted, well-thought out clinical trials. There are researchers who do this with social policy and they're excellent.

I wholly support Penny Mordaunt if this is what she has in mind.

Penny Mordaunt knows perfectly well what she is saying and is aware of the consequences. This is all deliberate. I had a letter from her office weeks ago that left me in no doubt of this.
