"Mum, 30, duped into sex by transgender man, 35, with fake penis says she’ll ‘never trust another man’"

Quite an interesting story this one.

www.thesun.co.uk/news/7394735/mum-duped-into-sex-by-transgender-man-with-fake-penis-says-shell-never-trust-another-man/

"he still had a woman’s body"

(say what?)

"she revealed Delacruz had an op to have his boobs removed — but tricked her into believing it was surgery for his burn scars."

Aren't we supposed to believe that 'top surgery' is just making these transmen their true authentic selves, as opposed to the viciously misassigned gender they were given at birth.

Has anyone heard the word 'tricked' in the context of a transwoman in the MSM lately, except possibly in the context of 'oh my god it's so transphobic to say transwomen are 'tricking' people'.

"“Our relationship was a lie. He still had a vagina. "

"used a “blood and flesh” prosthetic "

Still no idea what they are referring to here. Are transmen who have had phalloplasty going to be imprisoned as well?

Is anyone getting the slightest cognitive dissonance at a 'man' having a vagina, using 'he' pronouns, and then being imprisoned for not having a penis.

Has anyone heard from our TRA chums about why this authentic transman is being described as a 'pervert' and 'no-willy sex sicko'. They don't seem the slightest bit perturbed.

It's almost as if the entire thing is a sexual rights movement for people with (actual) penises.

What this case demonstrates above all else is the danger inherent in the 'affirmation' pathway of treatment. Clearly this FtM is a very disturbed person yet it seems no-one explored her mental state more widely. Let's hope she gets the help she needs in prison.

AdventuringThroughLife · 02/10/2018 16:48

Surely once we have self ID this wont even be a crime. If she says shes a man then she is ... so there will be no cri me to answer for?

OvaHere · 02/10/2018 17:27

Inserting a foreign object into someone without prior consent I think would still be a separate charge even if deception no longer was. It does lessen it considerably though and would be an insult to the woman's feelings about being duped.

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 02/10/2018 17:29

That’s awful. It’s like this person thinks they can lie to any extent to protect their identity because they are trans.
Not the basis of any kind of positive relationship. It’s abusive.

noeffingidea · 03/10/2018 07:05

I was thinking of transgender women identifying as lesbians raping women
I think that would come under the existing rape laws, seeing as it's extremely unlikely a lesbian could be deceived into believing a transwoman was a biological woman. I've never heard of that happening (same with gay men and transmen).

Yes I read a story about a trans woman finding their glorious true self and having sex with literally thousands of men without telling them.
May 2018 Mail
'Transgender woman claims to have slept with THOUSANDS of men since her gender reassignment surgery – including nine in a single NIGHT
Crystal Warren says she has had 2,000 sexual partners since transitioning
The 48-year-old hopes to sleep with a further 1,000 before she turns 50
Knew from a young age she was a woman and had lower surgery in 2003'
(extract)
"The part time model admits that most of her conquests don't know about her past.

She says: 'I have sex with a different man most nights of the week. But I always have safe sex and I can't fall pregnant so what's the harm?

'In the 14 years since my surgery I've had sex with at least 2000 men and I don't plan on slowing down. I fact I want to sleep with more men. I love it, I can't get enough.

'Usually the sex is casual so I don't get the opportunity to explain about my past and why should I?

'I doubt many women disclose their health and surgical history before going to bed with a man they fancy and who fancies them. I'm a woman now and that's what matters." (continues)

It is, or at least was, LGBT Labour's manifesto to get current protections concerning sex by deception weakened because some trans people think their partners don't need to know what their birth sex is in order to give informed consent. Hmm Angry Prior thread at www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/3307355-Sex-by-deception The original PDF has gone but I still have a copy, will see how/if I can make it available.

gendercritter · 03/10/2018 08:35

I'm surprised that she kept agreeing to it, though I know many women out there put up with sex that's at best uncomfortable and not pleasurable to them if not outright painful.

I'm not surprised at all Sad As you say, I think so many women put up with sex being unpleasant or bad. It shows how far feminism has to go.

It sounds as if this couple were together for quite a while. I'm not surprised she has completely lost trust in people after this. Deceiving someone like this is dreadful.

Datun · 03/10/2018 08:37

Surely if the govt wanted to follow this self-ID business to its logical conclusion, it would mean that this kind of deception is no longer illegal?

It's almost as if no one really believes that trans women are women, or trans men are men.

Despite me thinking this transman has serious mental health issues and hoping they get treatment, I'm relieved they were convicted.

Trans demands activists are pushing very hard to not make this a crime. So I'm glad it is still recognised as such.

Despite it being far more likely that a woman would be deceived, I can imagine a male dominated profession being very uncomfortable with the thought that they can't arrest a born male who deceived a straight man into sex.

Datun · 03/10/2018 08:37

And what the hell is a flesh and blood prosthetic that feels like sandpaper and gives friction burns.

LittleMissedTheSunshine · 03/10/2018 08:40

I think if a woman pretended to be a man and then later said 'no actually I am a woman' then from a deception point of view they may say that he/she was pretending to be a man at the time the other person was having sex with them, so that would still count as deception? Not sure the declaration would be retroactive in a criminal situation?

The ethics of this were raised in Channel 4's Genderquake show.

The housemates were all young people who had a range of 'gender identities.

In the house, two females: a transman and woman developed a close relationship. The woman had made clear that she was hetrosexual. The transman had deliberately chosen not to discuss their sex or 'gender identity' during discussions.

Other housemates, from memory those who identified as transwoman, recognised the transman's history.

The two females kissed.

The other housemates discussed whether the woman should have been made aware.

A male housemate felt stongly she should be aware and disclosed this.

This caused a lot of angst amongst the young people.

The consensus was portrayed as being more in sympathy with the privacy of the transman.

I doubt many women disclose their health and surgical history before going to bed with a man they fancy and who fancies them.

I do. I disclose my sexual assault history, my birth control method, my proneness to cystitis, my endometriosis surgery, and my allergy to latex. I then explain how these things limit when, where, and how I have sex. The man who moans that such a discussion "kills the mood" is not fit to be my lover and is denied access to my bed on that basis. My health is not negotiable and my boundaries are not up for debate.

gendercritter · 03/10/2018 14:12

Me too, bd67th

2rebecca · 03/10/2018 14:29

By flesh and blood prosthetic does she mean Delacruz had had f to m genital surgery? If so then I would have thought Delacruz would also have had vaginal removal surgery yet the article say Delacruz has a vagina. I wouldn't expect an artiificial phallus constructed from flesh to be that sore.
I think sexual partners should be truthful to each other and lying about your biological sex is wrong but considering the way TRAs go on about dead naming and transmen being real men I can understand why Delacruz maybe thought this was unnecessary.
It shows that most people don't buy the TWAW TMAM lines though.

wingwarbler · 03/10/2018 16:07

I think there is a duty to disclose prior to any sexual contact including kissing.

Biological sex is fundamental to sexuality and sexual consent.

That genderquake situation is disgraceful. The transman obtained sexual contact by deception, knowing that the woman would feel duped and be upset when the truth was revealed. Anyone doing that is a horrible, horrible person. Dangerous even, with morals like that.

The other people in the house who thought it was OK need their heads read.

bd67th · 04/10/2018 08:26

It's likely that the "flesh and blood prosthesis is a packing dildo. They often are made of sticky silicone that has to be powdered, which would explain the sandpaper effect.

2rebecca · 04/10/2018 09:19

Why would a court describe it as being flesh and blood if it's silicon though? They would say silicon prosthesis. The only way you have a flesh and blood artificial penis is if you have f to m genital surgery as the blood has to be warm and moving to make flesh and blood artificial bit viable. Calling it a prosthesis seems a bit strange then though, as then it would be more of a tissue graft than a prosthesis.
