Which companies/organisations do you boycott for their misogyny since becoming GC?

Grazia magazine. Read it since launch. Have not bought it since they gave Paris Lees a platform saying Paris is a woman because Paris says so.

The Guardian, obviously.

Thinkx period pants and Lunapads for refusing to acknowledge women menstruate.

Ocado, for thinking the word woman is hate speech.

Also boycotting Thinx.

And Lush, for using the sexist term “cisgender” in a campaign and on their website
uk.lush.com/article/lets-talk-about-gender

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 29/09/2018 09:22

Thinx
Primark
Topshop
Ocado

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 29/09/2018 09:23

Ocado, Lush and The Guardian.

UpstartCrow · 29/09/2018 09:57

The Labour Party.
The Green Party.
WEP.
The Pool.
I've stopped fundraising for Womens Aid.
Ocado.
Thinx.
Lush.

Estellesylvia · 29/09/2018 10:07

Have also cancelled direct debits to Amnesty International and NSPCC because of their appalling stance on this.

Would not vote Labour, Green or WEP in a million years. Though Sophie Walker has begun to stick her head above the parapet, to be fair.

Forgot about Lush, them too.

Lush
Greens
TopShop
Grazia
Grauniad

Have started buying BirdsEye because potato.

WomenMakePurchasingDecisions · 29/09/2018 10:25

Oh, NSPCC.

terryleather · 29/09/2018 10:27

Cancelled D/Ds to Amnesty and NSPCC.

Estellesylvia · 29/09/2018 10:35

I would also say here that I will happily GIVE my custom to any company or organisation who sticks their head above the parapet and stands up for women.

DD doesn't know it yet but I'm about to stop supporting her helping out at Rainbows. School has fed her the Kool Aid but in calm one to one conversations she understands my fears. Wouldn't admit it in public though 🤔.

StealthNinjaMum · 29/09/2018 10:55

Ocado obviously.

Also marmite because on a thread a few months ago they supported Stonewall and possibly removed a poster from a Facebook group - can't remember the details.

I have also cut down on Marks stuff too. Not quite a complete boycott yet.

noeffingidea · 29/09/2018 10:57

Only Dove, because I never used any of the other companies in the first place. I bet they miss that £50 or so I used to spend on their profits over the year.
I do still use Primark even though they apparently have a unisex changing room policy. I don't generally use changing rooms much, but that's actually more to do with other women who think 'women only' includes their teenage sons and partners than transwomen.

BlooperReel · 29/09/2018 10:58

Lush, the labour party, ocado as of this week, topshop.

Estellesylvia · 29/09/2018 11:00

Marmite! I forgot about them and their virtu signalling nonsense earlier this year.

Who were the hotel company who cancelled the WPUK booking down south?

Also, can I highlight the Glasgow Central hotel for allowing WPUK to host a meeting there earlier this year with a few hours notice after the other hotel pulled out.

Millwall FC should get a mention here for cancelling Venice Allen’s meeting after they took the booking. Sadly for the transactivists it was held at the House of Commons instead.

Stonewall, very obviously too. Misogyny HQ.

Top shop . Also teenage DD has too and is trying to persuade her friends. They spend a damn sight more in Top Shop than I ever did.

Have started buying Birds Eye fish fingers and waffles instead of supermarket own brand .

The Labour Party and the Green Party. I also speak to their representatives outside polling stations and tell them why I don’t vote for them .

Estellesylvia · 29/09/2018 11:05

Also 38 Degrees should be highlighted for their misogyny after removing a petition with nearly 1000 signatures last year. The petition simply asked for a proper debate about the GRA and was removed for ‘transphobia’.

Primark
Marks and Spencer
Top Shop
The Guardian
Stopped membership of the Green Party.
Also stopped buying Lily's kitchen dog food as someone said they support stonewall - can anyone confirm? Doggie really likes it.
Buy a lot of stuff at TK MAXX as when I went there a bloke was 'helping' his partner in the womens' changing room and I told the assistant who kicked him out.
These are places I've used regularly, but I also discount moving my custom to anywhere that supports anti women activism.

Judder · 29/09/2018 11:19

Also left Co-op Bank who refused a bank account to um Woman's Place I think or Venice - can't remember it was a while back. And I quit the Lib Dem party over their woman-hating LGBT trans-activist run twitter feed.

TheTrickyWitch · 29/09/2018 11:56

I have started buying Birds Eye too. So inspired by the Ocado boycott (I have never used them and certainly never will now).

We have massive consumer power and I promise to start giving my custom to any organisations that support women in this fight! (would love to do the solidarity symbol now but am new and sticking to the basics for now!)

Ariclock · 29/09/2018 12:05

I'll be buying Birds Eye products rather than supermarket own brands from now on. I've boycotted Ocado and the Guardian. I didn't know about Marmite though so thanks for the heads up.

Jamieandwordswo · 29/09/2018 12:11

The Labour Party.

Also, I won’t go to any venue that doesn’t have women’s toilets.

GulagsMyArse · 29/09/2018 12:11

MsMcWoodle on no not Lilys. Doggies loves Lilys.

GulagsMyArse · 29/09/2018 12:11

But I will not buy if they support Stonewall

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 29/09/2018 12:39

Also left Co-op Bank

Same here.
