Grazia magazine. Read it since launch. Have not bought it since they gave Paris Lees a platform saying Paris is a woman because Paris says so.

The Guardian, obviously.

Thinkx period pants and Lunapads for refusing to acknowledge women menstruate.

Ocado, for thinking the word woman is hate speech.

NSPCC, stopped monthly direct debit and transferred it to local woman's refuge.

MsMcWoodle · 29/09/2018 12:44

Gulags I know. I've moved to Hunters but Lily's was convenient.

GulagsMyArse · 29/09/2018 12:50

been meaning to make own doggie biccies for ages anyway, so maybe will do now. Doggie is very spoilt. :)

Charliethefeminist · 29/09/2018 13:00

Family boycotts really
Co op, just moved home and car insurance
Ocado obvs
Top Shop
Marks and Spencer
Lush
Dove
Guardian

Charliethefeminist · 29/09/2018 13:01

All charity money now goes to campaigns for women.

BeenHereAWhileNow · 29/09/2018 13:14

Thanks for the update on why Lush, I'll add them to my list, bit of a shame as I liked their products but that does mean I spent money there to stop. I forgot marmite and just popped some in shop for student son which is annoying. Won't be getting anymore but do need to find a good alternative.

Started buying birdeyes instead of supermarket brands

Similar list to boycott to others. I'd missed the Grazia interview with Paris Lees so didn't stop until the interview with Munroe Bergdorf Angry I didn't realise how often I bought a copy until I stopped.

Birdseye? Is there a thread on here about them? I’ve tried searching and only get years old stuff.

The only ones I used to use/support was Co-op, NSPCC (their Christmas letters) and Lush (although that’s partly due to them still using child mined mica in their products). I stopped buying anything from Arcadia group years ago thanks to Philip-I’d-Sell-My-Own-Nana-For-50p-Green’s total lack of moral compass.

Agree with a PP that I’m very interested in buying products/services/supporting companies/charities that aren’t anti-women.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 29/09/2018 13:19

thatwouldbe, I don't have the exact details, but my understanding is (and I am happy for this to be corrected) is that TRAs tried to start a boycott of Birdseye because advertising on their packaging said something like "approved by mums". TRAs deemed this transphobic, of course.

Birdseye's response to their nonsense was "potato".

GulagsMyArse · 29/09/2018 13:19

Philip-I’d-Sell-My-Own-Nana-For-50p-Green’s total lack of moral compass. Grin
and Guardian ( no longer subscribe)

GulagsMyArse · 29/09/2018 13:22

Potato,
this word has been weaponised!

we should put up a billboard with the definition potato on it and see who protests. I'm sure other root veg could feel very unsafe.

thatwouldbeanecumenicalmatter · 29/09/2018 13:23

@DisrespectfulAdultFemale Brilliant 😂👍

ChilliJamandAvocado · 29/09/2018 13:24

Lush (for shampoo bars)
Lily's Kitchen
Oxfam shops
I only look at the Guardian with adblock on

I'm fairly anti-consumerist, so it's difficult to boycott things that I don't buy anyway Grin

Beamur · 29/09/2018 13:24

I've cancelled my regular donation to the NSPCC after their refusal to engage or explain their position on safeguarding.
What was the issue with the Co op dare I ask, as I currently bank with them.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 29/09/2018 13:26

I'm sure other root veg could feel very unsafe.

As would other nightshades, like tomatoes and aubergines. And not to mention the feelz of sweet potatoes.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 29/09/2018 13:28

Beamur - again, this is my understanding - Coop Bank refused an account from a feminist organisation due the organisation's aims or membership (can't recall which) not being sufficiently inclusive.

Needmoresleep · 29/09/2018 13:31

Lush.

I am also concerned that the FCA had Mermaids as their Chairty of the Year. Don't know how to boycott them though.

Womaningreen · 29/09/2018 13:37

sorry, who are the FCA?

I didn't know about Birds Eye. That is awesome. Did they put it on Twitter? (I've banned myself from Twitter for a week).

StatelyPlump · 29/09/2018 13:38

I just had a Labour activist ask for my vote in a typically leafy suburb (ie not super woke). Told her the dictionary definition of woman. She told me I was a transphobe and they don’t want my vote anyway. And I’m fairly sure she was pregnant. Which only adult human females can be. Not sure slander is a good way for Labour to approach its canvassing operations.

Needmoresleep · 29/09/2018 13:41

The FCA are the Financial Conduct Authority who regulate banks and insurance companies. Relevant because if they have drunk the Kool Aid, banks will feel under pressure to do the same.

Womaningreen · 29/09/2018 13:45

oh, but we can't really boycott the FCA....more of a campaign focus I guess?

HawkeyeInConfusion · 29/09/2018 13:53

Children in Need as they have given money to Mermaids.

colouringinpro · 29/09/2018 13:57

DivaCup

Whose market is women, but can't bring themselves to say so Angry

From Twitter
"Hey period pals, it’s time the #innerrevolution talked about the “pink tax” on disposables. With the average person having 400 periods in their life, it’s time we had a cost-effective way to handle them. Good thing the DivaCup is reusable and can be used for up to a year. t.co/iNbqekcnKB"
@TheDivaCup

Do drop them a tweet if you're on Twitter Wink

Furx · 29/09/2018 14:12

Lush
The Guardian
NSPCC
Oxfam
Eddie Izzard
Labour
LibDem
Greens

And am pulling back my support of GGUK.

However I have moved over to Birds Eye from own brand.. and will support and gender critical org. who is willing to stick their neck out and push for a respectful debate.
