Posie Parker will be on This Morning tomorrow.

Not sure which TRA/AWA will be provided for her to chew up and spit out though.

Morning,

Can anyone tell me why posit is so revered when so many tweets are seemingly racist and unpleasant?

I’m gc, I’m up for discussion and was so impressed with pp on sky news. But looking into her on Twitter I felt so deflated.

Sicario · 28/09/2018 10:02

Posie has been chucked off Twitter and lots of TRAs are tweeting horrible things about her. I say: Dear Posie. You rock.

RepealtheGRA · 28/09/2018 10:02

My kids are chuffed as chips that I’m currently sticking it to the Patriarchy by feeding them on a staple diet of BirdsEye POTATO waffles and fish fingers Grin

We’re currently putting all other differences aside and standing together with other women regardless of what other opinions they may hold ie Brexit. Once all political parties agree that Woman = Adult Human Female, then other differences in opinion will be addressed.

For the meantime, enjoy your hero, we'll enjoy the unravelling...

Is that in the same we we should "Enjoy our erasure" @Princessconsuelafalange??

NameChangedAgain18 · 28/09/2018 10:08

Ocado could learn a thing or two from Birds Eye.

Oh dear

I’m sure Mrs Keen-Minshull will have a number of prepared lines on the poster in #Liverpool that @primesight took down, and she will try to convince you that she is just a “concerned woman” and a feminist.

Don’t buy it.

There's something about putting woman in quotation marks (though I know he is probably using them to refer to the concerned bit) when PP is a bona fide dictionary-defined woman that seems highly ironic.

AngryAttackKittens · 28/09/2018 10:12

"Most people agree with us!"

(Pats on head) There there, dear, I know it's hard to accept that you're wrong but we all have to grow up some time.

I hope the various people who tried very hard to get everyone here to turn on Posie are reading this thread and seething.

What?!? When did that happen?

dolorsit · 28/09/2018 10:19

I think it's odd that you have to be a "feminist" to be justifiably concerned.

Why does it matter?

As to Posies other views, it is quite possible I could disagree strongly with her. At the moment I cheer Anna Sourbry every time I see her on TV. I know I pretty much disagree with her on everything politically. It doesn't stop me from agreeing with her on one topic and admiring her stance.

Shockingly I am also capable of disagreeing with someone's point of view whilst understanding and empathising why they feel that way.

AngryAttackKittens · 28/09/2018 10:21

There were a couple of threads that were clearly set up with the intent of getting everyone to officially denounce Posie. As you can see it didn't work. I wonder which prominet GC woman they'll target for attempted shunning next.

ToeToToe · 28/09/2018 10:21

What?!? When did that happen?

When she was cancelled as a speaker by wpuk.

She's a tough cookie, our posie - she's come out of it so much stronger.

AngryAttackKittens · 28/09/2018 10:22

FWIW there are definitely things I disagree with Posie about. That doesn't mean that she's not doing a great job with what she's working on, or that I'm going to fall for divide and conquer tactics.

They really do think we're stupid.

Didn’t the TRAs try to shut down mumsnet by boycotting advertisers and stuff?

Yeah but that's allowed.....
It's only the identical situation which isn't.

"Potato" is the best response to people acting like children throwing a tantrum in the history of Twitter.

Ooforfoxsakeridesagain · 28/09/2018 10:25

Posie if you do check in, thank you for putting yourself (and all those who go with you) out there. It’s proper brave.

LangCleg · 28/09/2018 10:26

They should put that on you-tuber.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Studyinghell · 28/09/2018 10:27

I’m actually nervous for her, & a bit excited! I really want her to wipe the floor with him this morning, I even cut my poor dogs Friday 5miles down to 3.... I really think this could be a massive turning point. I hope all females watch and come away knowing, we can say NO, we’re not comfortable with men in our spaces. Tough

arranfan · 28/09/2018 10:27

Just to agree with AAK above:

Feminism is a political practice of fighting male supremacy in behalf of women as a class, including all the women you don't like, including all the women you don't want to be around, including all the women who used to be your best friends whom you don't want anything to do with anymore. It doesn't matter who the individual women are.

― Andrea Dworkin

deepwatersolo · 28/09/2018 10:27

I am so rooting for Posie today, but no matter how this goes today, the big picture is that the TWAW lunacy is destined to break down under its own weight sooner or later. Like the ‚celebrated liberation of iraq‘ story. The only question, again, is the number of victims the belated acknowledgement of reality by the elites will cost.
Anyway, go Posie!!!

TwistedStitch · 28/09/2018 10:28

I don't know much about Posie's political views nor do I care. I care that she is a woman who has been told that the dictionary definition of woman is hate speech. I would also care if Katie Hopkins had been told the same thing, or any other woman whose other views I disagree with. Because I am also a woman and how I define myself is NOT hate speech.

SophoclesTheFox · 28/09/2018 10:29

I didn't think anyone got that, Lang Grin

BoreOfWhabylon · 28/09/2018 10:29

Exactly dolorsit

Women from across the socio/political/religious spectrum agree on one thing: TWANW

I am worried for Posie though, she is fearless but inexperienced in media appearances, unlike everyone else who will be on the programme.

Good luck Posie Flowers

AbsintheFriends · 28/09/2018 10:29

Thanks for posting that juells It illustrates the double standard perfectly
