Man pretends to have Downs and hires young women to change his nappy

Also requires them to wash his genitals. He is often sexually aroused when they are changing him.

He is now on trial for sexual abuse.

But men would never pretend to be transgender in order to abuse women, would they.

prawn I agree. Every piece of guidance that DC had a hand in should be put on the bonfire, yet nothing seems to have changed.

*woman, he couldn't be washed at his home because he lived with his parents who knew full well he wasn't disabled. He was busted when one of the caregivers followed him home.

I read that and comprehend - but then it begs the question of where were they bathing him if not at home? Caregivers normally go to one's home don't they? Anyway, don't want to derail on that diversion...

The main issue is why were any of us criticised for making links between some men, sexual deviancy, the lengths they will go to and the very present risk of the relaxation of safeguards in the name of self id?

IamalsoSpartacus · 14/09/2018 17:02

Sorry, woman - didn't mean to womansplain!

It is just like the situation with every other abusive situation that has flown under the radar. A generation ago, people wouldn't have dreamed of seeing a Catholic priest in anything but a positive light, albeit some of them probably disagreed with the popery and religion. Now Catholic priest is shorthand for sex abuser, even though I'm quite sure most of us understand that not every priest is an abuser. The stigma has arisen because it was originally such a prestige, unassailable position that certain men took advantage and did awful things and people were too naive to see the dangers.

There is no difference here whatsoever. The fact that so many people are still so bloody naive they can't grasp the concept of predators being predators disturbs and frustrates me.

VickyEadie · 14/09/2018 17:06

And that's why, yes, they will say they are transgender and dress up in a skirt and make-up if they think it gives them more opportunity to be close to potential victims.

As we all know on here, they won't even have to go that far. Self-id means 'I am what I say I am'.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 14/09/2018 17:08

I can't stop thinking about the 10 y.o raped and tortured by David Challenor.

She must have suffered so much pain and terror. But knowing that she endured that while her assailant was dressed in an adult size little girl costume and telling her he was a 6 y.o called Lucy makes it far worse.

I can't imagine how a child could process that. It's so disturbing and grotesque. Children, of their nature and lack of experience, cannot understand sexual deviancy.

On a less disturbing but quite intriguing note, my DF told me last week about how when he was a child there was a local man who had a wonderful telescope. The unspoken deal was that if you wanted to use the telescope, you'd sit next to him, he'd slip his hand down your shorts and, as DF put it, fiddle about.

My DF says it didn't upset him. At the time he was just mystified as to what the man got out of it. As a prepubescent child, my DF didn't 'get' adult sexual feeling. The assaults were very low key and so he wasn't freaked out

IamalsoSpartacus · 14/09/2018 17:10

And every time a woman starts to raise these issues she gets silenced - so many twitter accounts closed, Maria punched in the face, Linda Bellos up in court for alleged threats of violence.

Meanwhile a nappy-wearing fetishist is still advising Stonewall, and Stonewall advise almost every public sector employer.

Shame - I was toying with having it as a PhD subject - maybe at Goldsmiths as I hear they have lots of expertise in some subjects

I really shouldn't be laughing because this thread has the vilest topic but I am. Thank you for making marginally less disgusting!

There are no depths to which deviant men will not sink. No lengths to which they will not go.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 14/09/2018 17:13

Sorry, woman - didn't mean to womansplain!

No worries - I like the care that is behind the comment - something that is totally missing when mansplained!!

Cyw2018 · 14/09/2018 17:18

When I first started working as a paramedic (in my early 20s) there was a elderly man (no dementia) at a local care home who used to pull his catheter out deliberately on a regular basis so that he could have it reinserted by a female nurse, as it aroused him. As soon as I walked in to his room the first thing he said was 'do you want to see it' and just pulled back his bed sheet! Because he was elderly, we were supposed to just accept it. A&e's approach was to hope they had a male nurse free, and to get him to reinsert the catheter in the hope that it might put him off doing it so frequently.

Meldrum, from Lewisham in south-east London, admits installing the software on the women's computer but claims he wanted to eavesdrop on them rather than watch them.

Like eavesdropping is OK ......yuck yuckity yuck - creepy fuck. Moral - beware of strange men fiddling with your laptop etc Predators get everywhere - I really wish we had women-only repairers and tradespeople.

IamalsoSpartacus · 14/09/2018 17:22

"I really wish we had women-only repairers and tradespeople."

Something else we won't be able to ask for. Want a female plumber? Don't be upset when you get Danielle Muscato.

I really shouldn't be laughing because this thread has the vilest topic but I am.

Gallows humour trying to deal with the cognitive dissonance of the prevalence of sexual deviancy and some telling me (including striking my comments) when I made those links previously about the increased risks when relaxing safeguarding for self-id.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 14/09/2018 17:26

Don't be upset when you get Danielle Muscato

plus her lady tools

Knicknackpaddyflak · 14/09/2018 17:37

people are seriously suggesting that they won't say a simple sentence to do it?

Under self ID they won't even need to do that. Repeatedly I'm seeing that asking people for identification is unacceptable, so any man walking into a women's facility has self identified just by the act of walking in there alone, and immediately assumes all the involved protections.

Trans ability. Trans age. These are already things. If you can be legally recognised as something you objectively, provably are not, because you 'feel' different internally, and you are therefore entitled to the legal privileges of the group you have identified into, this will be used as a precedent. If you can change sex on your driving licence and identify into refuges, how are you going to stop people identifying into disability benefits and carers? Or identifying into the local Brownies? Think of Aimee Challoner's father or Stephonee Wolscht, both of whom like to identify as six year old little girls.

FanWithoutAGuard · 14/09/2018 18:34

Christ - I thought that Uni case was bad enough.

Honestly, anyone who says 'who would make the effort' is being intentionally obtuse - we all know that men put vast effort and money into their wanking - just look at how much the porn industry is worth.

(plus yes, septic tank guy, died in a wall guy, all the guys with their shoe cameras and coat hook cameras, and wired AirBNBs - Men put that extra money and all the spare time they have into worshiping their most treasured possession - their penis.

Ereshkigal · 14/09/2018 18:40

THIS.

Want a female plumber? Don't be upset when you get Danielle Muscato.

Not a chance. Very few activists have a job, let alone a skilled trade.

deepwatersolo · 14/09/2018 20:36

That is the Canadian case:

www.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/former-administrator-leads-human-rights-complaint-against-vancouver-island-university/article36934135/

'Internal e-mails obtained by The Globe and Mail, as well as interviews, other documents and a formal complaint filed with B.C.'s Human Rights Tribunal outline allegations that the student wished to be treated like an infant, wearing a soother around his neck, talking in a baby voice and submitting an assignment that included a photo of him in a diaper.'

What the fuck is wrong with men? They are becoming grotesque, revolting demons. My little girl says she is never getting married and all I can do is congratulate her.
