I have my ticket Smile. Will be coming on my own, am excited but a bit apprehensive about potential trouble.

BingBongSong · 16/09/2018 14:26

Reviving this thread as I've hijacked the Manchester "Standing for Women" thread.

The advance tickets are sold out but I think WPUK will be releasing more tickets nearer to the event. You can register here:

A Woman's Place is a Safe Port.

Looking forward to this event!

PeriwinkleBlues · 16/09/2018 15:25

I also have a ticket Smile First time I've been to anything like this.

BingBongSong · 16/09/2018 15:37

Periwinkle, do you want to walk in together once we know the venue? I'll see if anyone else joins in this thread and then maybe send everyone a private message nearer the time.

BingBongSong · 16/09/2018 15:42

It is also my first event Smile.

I admit I'm a bit worried about the mood in Liverpool, given some of the responses to Liverpool ReSisters on Twitter, but want to be able to discuss this too. Hopefully the event will pass without incident.

BarrackerBarmer · 16/09/2018 15:52

I'm on the waiting list

PeriwinkleBlues · 16/09/2018 15:55

Yes, I think it'd be good to do that. Safety in numbers and all that!

I'm also bit concerned about the mood but I think that makes it more important to attend. We need to make a stand about this.

Kleptronic · 16/09/2018 15:56

My MIL and I are going.

GinNeeded · 16/09/2018 16:03

Waves at Klep! We will actually meet up at some point!

I am on the waiting list. It's heartening to see lots of other people who are going. Fingers crossed I get a ticket.

PersistenceIsNotFutile · 16/09/2018 16:26

I'm going. Liverpool is turning into a flashpoint for this issue; it should be an interesting night.

Kleptronic · 16/09/2018 18:50

Hiya Gin! One day!

GinNeeded · 22/09/2018 10:57

Hey I have a ticket! Woo hoo!

For anyone else on the waiting list I didn't get a notification just tried it now and got one.

So I am going on my own if anyone wants to meet up?

BingBongSong · 22/09/2018 11:27

Hi Gin,
Yes, it would be good to meet up, once we know venue! I think Periwinkle was interested too. It's my first meeting so I'm not sure how these things are arranged, but we will manage Grin.

Barracker · 22/09/2018 12:43

I still can't get a ticket.

GinNeeded · 23/09/2018 11:28

@Barracker try again and check your emails. I have just received an email to offer a ticket from the wait list x

Barracker · 23/09/2018 11:38

Me too - sorted! See you there Smile

jeaux90 · 23/09/2018 11:41

Don't worry about the protests. I was at the Oxford one where there were loads and we walked right through them. They were all middle class white kids. Wish I was coming to Liverpool, looks like a great line up.

PeriwinkleBlues · 23/09/2018 11:45

Yes- count me in for meeting 🙂 Any ideas when we’ll find out the location?

Alltheprettyseahorses · 23/09/2018 12:16

Me! I have a ticket! I might have to leave a little early but I really can't wait. I'm not bothered in the slightest about any protesters. I've worked in customer service and posh kids have got nothing on that.

BingBongSong · 23/09/2018 12:47

I think venue is emailed to ticket holders in the afternoon of the event.

I haven't done a group pm before, but the Woolly Hugs team do, so assuming it can be done.

Once we know venue, I can set up a group message Smile.

GinNeeded · 23/09/2018 17:37

Fabulous! Looking forward to it.

mrswarthog · 23/09/2018 17:57

I'm going too - ticket came through today.

oneWeirdReSister · 23/09/2018 22:33

I'll happily do a Mumsnetty handshake; I'm helping with tickets on the door. :)

GinNeeded · 25/09/2018 10:58

I'd like to know what the secret handshake is...and is there a secret knock tooGrin

I will be in the spirit of the Mumsnet scarf wearing a snakeskin pattern one...

BreezedriftingOnBy · 25/09/2018 11:15

Long time lurker on FWR boards- also going today and very nervous! Would welcome a pm about meeting beforehand. Can vouch for myself that I'm not dodgy promise Smile
