The Lisa Muggeridge video is very, very good.
I keep saying this (and Lang, I know we agree: we've shared space on the Safeguarding thread,) but that is why the 'affirm' narrative for Trans identity is so fucking dangerous.
And we are actually seeing it play out in real time - right here.
It helped cover up an abusive background in Aimee Challenor's case.
It enabled a political Party to 'boost' and use a young Trans person without doing basic due diligence on her and her family.
It permitted a lack of oversight of her - and her associates' - activity while acting for that Party.
It permitted oversight of failures in safeguarding on her part.
It permitted lack of safeguarding of someone who was charged with violent sexual crimes against a female minor.
and it is now being used to cover up all those failings - right now, in the present
It is so incredibly dangerous.
As is the charge of 'transphobia' - because it can and is, right here, used as a strategy to silence, evade and cover up wrong-doing.
Frankly, the Green Party, right now, is the site of a massive cover-up.
