We have to acknowledge that we have largely achieved our successes by flying under the radar”, (then) Transgender Law Center Director Masen Davis stated eighteen months ago, “It is a secret at Transgender Law Center and I’ll ‘come out’ today. We do a lot, really quietly. We have made some of our biggest gains: that nobody has noticed

That's a quote from 2013.

Well now that women are noticing and collating, they are so afraid of the exposure that they cannot bear to see their work listed and described. In many ways, this is a good sign: of how their confidence and status is so deeply fragile, and they know it.

You mean start a thread on 'extreme porn'?

I would like that thread. These links clearly show the connection between transactivism and misogyny.

Yeah. I've just seen some of the porn...

We are back to "deadnaming" aren't we? In the same way as linking Lily to their old SM presence as Liam was considered to be bullying.

We are all meant to pretend that these people had no lives before they "became women"; great way to avoid any reference to appalling pre-transition behaviour.

Though most of them seem to immediately start building up a new lot of appalling behaviour post-transition Hmm

Funnily enough, look who retweeted a UKTeli tweet, taking the opportunity (and why not?) to abuse Mumsnet. Yes, it's our old fav Dr Christian.

Any comment on Jess Bradley @UKTeli?

Hitlist? Why are they saying it's a hitlist

Judging by the standards of some of the company they keep, perhaps?

Charliethefeminist · 30/08/2018 16:41

Oh right, projection

As ever.

I wa reading a legal judgement the other day that accepts and upholds that history canot and should not be re-written so I couldn't care less about deadnaming if it is doen in the name of poltical and democratic transparency.

Trans people need to understand that they have the same reaonable expectation of privacy, and liitations ot that, that we all have, not the absolute right to secrecy that they think they do.

seafret · 31/08/2018 04:21

*SOME trans people, sorry tired.

picklemepopcorn · 31/08/2018 06:42

Seafret, so how come newspaper articles can be retrospectively edited to remove accurate information?
