I read the thread on here a few weeks ago about the woman on twitter who posted a series of tweets about an agenda to normalise paedophillia, I couldn’t find the thread to add these links but fits in perfectly with the tweets!

Most people (men) who sexually abuse kids aren't "proper" paedophiles anyway, they do it because they can.

In the same way that lots of men in prison will have sex with men while they're in there.

Lots of men seem far more interested in getting their dick seen to than who is on the otehr side. Their sexuality just seems quite self centred generally, even the "good" ones will lie and coerce to get their end away.

I agree that paedophiles cannot change their desires, this is why an offender should not ever be trusted to be rehabilitated. It is seriously sick and disgusting that paedophilia is being seen as in any way normal. The children that are victims of such people are not capable of consenting, therefore it is rape , not just a sexual preference.

Any attempt to normalise this deviant behaviour is absolutely abhorrent.

The media has a significant influence in normalizing pedophilia every time they call a raped child for sale to pedophiles a child prostitute.

This has been coming on for ages, I have seen a couple of articles about poor paedophiles who don't want to act on their "urges" but can't get support. Or, worse, poor men who have become addicted to images of child sexual abuse and need a more understanding society to access support.

I'm up for doing anything that prevents pedophiles from acting on their 'impulses' because ultimately that will help keep children safe. I don't know if there will ever be a 'cure' though since we can't really control what goes on in people's heads :/ but it definitely shouldn't be compared to a sexuality and normalised

Thing is that even the virtuous pedophiles turn out to have been less than virtuous and have indulged their preferences either through CSA images or through actually committing the abuse on children.

I don't know what the answer is. I guess pedophiles don't ask to be born that way. But every person has to take responsibility for their actions. This seems like it's skirting too close to becoming another 'kink' that we shouldn't 'shame' people for. I don't like the way that the woke left makes out that we can indulge in whatever sexual behaviour we like without it being a reflection on our character. No, if you enjoy throttling women or urinating on them and can only get off if you do that, that probably says quite a bit about you as a person and you would be wise to examine that carefully and seek help if necessary. I don't buy the whole 'mild mannered, wouldn't hurt a fly, yet gets off on inflicting huge amounts of pain on another person' (even if they consent).

The argument is that paedophiles can't seek help at the moment due to stigma.

Anyone who has acted in any way including looking at images of CSA is a sex offender. And one who has abused / encouraged the abuse of the vulnerable.

Many people who commit CSA aren't actually paedophiles.

If paedophilia is a sexual orientation that that sucks for the people who have it but where does it say that ANYONE needs to act on their sexual urges? It reminds me of the "prostitutes for those who can't pull" stuff >> it's about a toxic idea that men (and it's always about men in these stories and of course they are the vast majority of those in the picture) are slave to their sexual urges and can't help acting on them even if it means abusing someone desperate / raping a child / or someone else. It's bollocks. Anyone who needs treatment or anything to stop them RAPING is fucking dangerous and should be a case for extreme caution, not care and concern.

Although with this they are usually saying that they have a right to treatment / and acceptance by society or at least understanding that they're "born like it" as long as they don't act on it.

A child cannot consent therefore they cannot act on it without rape and you don't get cookies for not raping children.

Yeah, why should they get cookies for not raping kids? Why this assumption that people cannot control their sexual urges? We live in a society that deems raping children wrong. Deal with it. What if I started whining about how I really want to kill people and that I am being unfairly treated because murder is against the law (and asking people to congratulate me for managing not to kill anyone)?

She mentions 'love' . Maybe she needs to consider why so many men are paedophiles. It is not a sexual orientation..but she is right it does seem like it can't be changed.

I've just finished 'Predators: Pedophiles, Rapists, And Other Sex Offenders' by Anna Salter (recommended on here - thanks to those who did). Anyone calling for sympathy for paedophiles should be made to read it. Aloud, word by word, until they see the error of their ways.
