Hi, with the GRA consultation looming as predicted, there are a number of other consultations opening in this timeframe which could equally be devastating for women's rights if we do not send in submissions of women's feminists voices.

So this thread is here to note which consultations are open, their deadlines for submissions and links to Mumsnet support threads specific to them along with other support for completing your submissions.

Hope this is helpful and please add anything missed Smile

RSE consultation deadline has now pass (approx 10 mins ago) so onto the next consultations...

Rats, I'm in neither social housing nor a HA in England but I regret that I missed this consultation deadline because it has consequences for so many people but, disproportionately, women and families:

I'd be so grateful to any of the women's organisations if they could scrimp together the resources and offer some leadership about what we can do. I know WPUK is continuing to ask us to:
visit our MPs and talk to them about EqA and GRA;
check our local council's website for mis-uses of sex and gender and any guidance that flows from that.

What letters do we need to write and to whom about other issues?

Criminal justice system reform and single-sex prisons? (FPFW has a petition about prisons.)

PCC about the question of self-ID and searches of women?

I'm annoyed with myself for missing the public housing consultation as I feel we're nowhere near being able to push back on the disproportionate impact of austerity on women and children and that's before the upcoming 'Big Bang' of March 29, 2019. I'm apprehensive about what further cuts politicians and others might try to justify in any subsequent period of confusion and economic fall out from that.

I've linked to the Twitter thread about this rather than the actual consultation as it seems rather problematic.

We are today launching a public call for evidence on #extremism. We’re producing a first-of-its-kind study into extremism and it’s impact on society. This is your chance to share your insight, experience and evidence.

Why it may be problematic:

www.preventdigest.co.uk/single-post/2018/09/26/Why-I-am-unable-to-engage-with-the-Commission-for-Countering-Extremism

I mention this because of previous claims that people have reported WPUK and similar ilk to the Prevent programme.
