And it's awful

No mention of sex, no mention of impact on any stakeholders, all leading questions, and horrible clear intention to filter.

This will affect the wonderful space at Hampstead Ponds so I urge you all to complete it. I will be speaking to the Corporation about its clear bias and lack of adherence to guidelines.

Done. Was scathing at the failure to even get the protected characteristics right.

Absolutely ridiculous survey. I may have been a bit scathing in my answers.

That has to be the worst survey of all time. Like others I wrote in all the boxes explaining what I really meant and what sex really meant and helped them as best I could with their obvious confusion and ignorance.

Using this tool www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/election-maps/ to find constituencies. Some of the MPs of toilets impacted near me are:

West Ham Park - West Ham constituency - Lyn Brown MP
City of London Cemetery - East Ham constituency - Stephen Timms MP
Wanstead Park - Leyton and Wanstead constituency - John Cryer MP
Epping forest - Epping Forest constituency - Eleanor Laing MP

This is just what's near me - the city of London corporation has green spaces (many with toilets) all around London.

Normally I'm not to fussed about the toilets issue, public toilets are never that safe really. Sadly. And it always has been that anyone who passes can quietly and discreetly use them. But these questions, they really are suggesting someone can on a whim declare themselves allowed to use the ladies, and go in unchallenged and with no means to challenge them. This makes me very nervous.

Utter shit.

I did self identify as a Londoner to fill it out thoughWink

Shockingly biased. Filled it in with lots of comments, subtext of all of which can be summarised as : are you fucking kidding with this nonsense??

I think a case should be made for restricting respondents to people who live or work in the city.
The Corporation manage facilities as far out as Buckinghamshire (Burnham Beeches). Hampstead Heath (and the ponds) span Camden and Barnet.
Leaving aside the biased and faulty questions, failing to allow service users to participate is wholly unacceptable.

It appears that the City of London has been a victim of the fraudulent Equality Act protected categories list.
I do hope that there will be an investigation of who perpetrated this widespread fraud that has done so much harm to women and girls.

Having said that, all it takes is for people to choose a workspace/hot-desking service in the City and use this as a work address to enable someone to fill it in, and so there is ample room for people to abuse the system - and I have no doubt that the cyber bots will get on the case.
Not that an email address provides verification of any worth, they don't even ask for one of these!

Have completed it - for interest, I am a man (no doubts about gender here, and have always been a man!) and have a strong support for the concerns being voiced here and in other places about the issues around safe places for women / the vocal minority distorting fact and logic - and am very anti the concept of self-ID which in my view is simply a modern version of Emperor's New Clothes...

I also stated in the survey that it was a biased and very poor survey - and that I am a liveryman of a London Livery Company (and Freeman of London) I therefore have voting rights in the City...

An atrocious survey, completely biased - and yet another example of distorted and biased thinking driving societal change which will have long term damage...

Biased, woolly and definitely confused between sex and gender. So infuriating. No doubt the GC replies will get "lost" in consultation. Ug.

Filled it in. Had a rant about sex and gender conflation. Also reminded them about sex being a protected characteristic in law. Suggested person who wrote questions should have a basic biology lesson ie sex male or female is observed at birth, a person is not assigned a gender at birth. Im a frequent visitor to London and wont be going anywhere near a gender neutral toilet or changing room.

Have to say akkakk the survey doesn't reflect well on the corporation. Thank you for your comments.

sadly have to agree - however, we should also remember that this appears to be the work of someone with a specific agenda - and that doesn't reflect the Corporation as a whole - I would expect the Corporation as a whole to probably not be fully aware of this agenda, and to have simply delegated this task - unfortunately this plays into the hands of that vocal minority with an agenda...

We need to get the press onto this. People like James Kirkup. Who else? Any MPs?

You don't even have to be GC to see what a shocking agenda-driven farrago this 'consultation' is.

Perhaps we should all write to them.

Just did a bit of reading about Livery Companies @akkakk.

I was particularly taken with the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers

The Pattenmakers' Company ranks seventieth in the order of precedence of City Livery Companies. Its motto is Recipiunt Fœminæ Sustentacula Nobis, Latin for "Women Receive Support From Us".

Can you talk to anyone akkk?

Sadly, probably not - I have very little influence - I have a vote for aldermans / sheriffs / Lord Mayor etc. but I am only a liveryman, not higher, which doesn't give me much influence... The OP has pinged me a message, and I have suggested someone who might be interesting to contact, who if they agreed and supported this could be very influential...

Frustratingly at the moment, I am also run ragged with work for various reasons, so have little time - however, it is not difficult to get hold of those in the Livery Companies - and make contact - just google the City Blue Book for all contact details... Livery companies are surprisingly influential in certain areas, and tend to be very traditional (sometimes a good thing, sometimes not), but in this scenario, perhaps a good thing...

sorry I can't be of much use, but maybe it gives an avenue for exploration...

To note the city of London corporation also manage green spaces including farthing down, coulsdon common and west wickham common so much more far reaching than just the square mile.

The City, directly and through the Livery Companies also manage or are linked to a very large number of schools, charities, churches, etc. across the country - it is a very influential organisation - probably the most influential organisation most people do not know about...

Yes, Lord is also a governor of the City of London School according to Wiki. He seems to have a prominent position in the corporation
Chairman of the Standards Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Establishment Committee and a member of the senior Policy and Resources Committee as well as the City Bridge Trust Committee and he is a mason.

The corporation must be loaded.

He has again according to Wiki already been subject to a sting regarding lobbying.

He is obviously well in the powers that be in the corporation.

Does anyone know if he had anything to do with the swim England changing room policy?

They should have listed the facilities impacted as well given most people won't know all the different ones they manage outside London. Not automatically think of all the different spaces.

Does this include schools? Refuges? What exactly are the single sex spaces being lost? How will thy ensure the vastly different stakeholders are aware and consulted.
