About a week ago I was added to a particularly pleasant twitter list "Die cunt". My first list - yay! Today I noticed someone I've had no contact with ever has blocked me. So presumably I'm on a block list too. I feel so proud. Does anyone know how I can find out any lists in on? Pure nosiness.

So what fun lists has anyone else made? I feel I ought to get a badge or something....

I was put on 'Swerf and terf mixed grill' and a 'terf cunts' lists.

If you want to be taken off, just block.the person who added you to the list.

There are also mass block lists that are kind of exterior to the twitter app, that get shared around among TRAs. Sounds like you're probably on some 'terf blocker' block together lists. Me too!

I’ve been blocked by a Twitter TRA too. I don’t think I’ve ever made a GC post, only heart-ed the odd tweet by others - mostly because I hardly ever use Twitter. I’m way too waffley to be constrained by character limits!

I only noticed my blocked status because I wanted to show my DH how ridiculous this person self description is - ‘non-binary transwoman (born male)’ and googled them. One of the hits was their twitter and lo! I was blocked.

I guess we must be on the same list?

The die cunt list I got a notification. They hadn't blocked me. Pure coincidence that I found out I was blocked by someone random as I followed a link on here.

It was an automatic notification - "inconsequential tosser whose name I've forgotten has added you to list Die Cunts". Amusing at least and I am in excellent company!

How do you mean look on lists Vaggie? I'm easily confused.

You won't get a notification for the mass block lists, as they're done by an application separate to twitter, from what I understand: blocktogether.org

But you'll get a notification when someone adds you to a twitter list (they don't tend to block you when they do that, it's a way of keeping an eye on you, which is.why I always block).

I'm blocked by L Madigan, Shon Faye, India Willoughby, and the non-famous twitterers who harass the @mumsnettowers twitter on a daily basis - Shakira, girl from mars and so on (saddos - get a life and stop reading MN if you don't like it! ). I've only ever interacted with the Madigan, so I'm on at least one blocklist.

I consider it a badge of honour.

I was on the Terfblocker list. I blocked Terfblocker and complained to Twitter about targeted harassment. They upheld my complaint but didn't do anything. A month afterwards I noticed I wasn't on the Terfblocker list anymore. Its latest scan hadn't picked me up because I was blocking it.

Yeah all I'd done on Twitter was follow a couple of gender critical feminists and like a couple of gender critical posts, and that was enough to get me blocked.

You'd think it would be counter productive. They're stopping their message getting out. Or are they afraid that people will expose how weak their arguments are?

Given the two-day thing, they probably just looked at who you followed, so guilt by association.

There is some suggestion that an option with some 'mas terf block lists' is to automatically block accounts which follow a specified number of already blocked accounts.

If this is the case, there could be be issues with it re automated decision making & GDPR.
