And this is the answer to the question of whether feminism is still relevant or needed in 21st century Britain. Alone, we’re vilified and ignored, but get the men involved and people start taking it seriously.

It really sums up how women are expected to be accommodating and sympathetic compared to men but hopefully a lot of peoples logical sides will see it should go both ways

I like that he said he didn't give a shit about the opinion of transactivists....if he had said transmen then it would be different. He came across as so dismissive of the entire movement.

I fully expect his response would be it’s your own problem you deal with it, maybe we could outline some of the problems faced by lesbians and appeal to him for some backing.
Also does anyone have a link to where little Owen Jones threw a hissy fit when asked if he’d sleep with a transman? Not particularly for the purpose above, just as a nice little gotcha to pull out of my sleeve at opportune moments.

It’s my understanding that lesbians were active in supporting gay men in the early years of HIV/AIDS, even though that wasn’t their problem. It would be great if gay men would step up now.
