I live in a farming community and there is an awful lot less swearing here than in the working class city community I spent the first 30-odd years of life living in. Farmers aren't particularly maledictive. How farmerphobic.

What I would say is that any blue-hairs arriving to my community would probably fall to their knees in worship because they'd think they'd arrived in the Land of the Transman. Not much in the way of dresses, long hair and makeup for the women around here. It's wellies or workboots, workshirts, jeans and cropped hair. Weirdly enough though, all the women consider themselves to be women.

How odd. Anyone would think that woman is not a costume or something equally revolutionary and dangerous.

Maybe the answer to this mess is (again) for T to break off from LGB. it says that there has been a trans pride. Given many transactivists try to steamroll over the other letters anyway, and LGB and T have different focuses, perhaps the answer is to go back to pride being about homosexual/bi people...and have a trans pride separate?

I feel sorry for you because I gather that your partner is trans, and as a couple you must want to feel accepted, and I hope you are. But part of that acceptance mustn't be an insistence that everyone else denies biological fact.

You'll find that most people don't mind how others present, but we mind being told how to think - I can't speak for everyone but that's where my anger is coming from on this issue. I think a lot of TRAs realise this; it’s what causes the rage. They went for the Big Lie - trans women are women, and it is backfiring because people cannot be forced to believe.

Being humored is the best that can reasonably be expected, which does rather emphasize the fact that we are not dealing with reasonable people.
